Property met our expectations, close to several vineyards and micro breweries. Contacted the property owner once or twice and they were very responsive, I would strongly recommend the property.

Location location location!

We loved our stay here at the Tango Oaks Guest House! As others have mentioned, the location is perfect. There are so many wineries, restaurants and things to do in the Hector area on the East side of the lake. The house is equipped with everything you need, was clean and everything as described. We especially loved walking to the Adirondack chairs and seeing the beautiful sunsets in the evenings on the East side of the lake.The only thing I would change is the traffic during the night/early morning as my dog is sensitive to noise, but did not bother my boyfriend and I. It caused my dog to bark a couple of times, but was not bothersome to us or anyone else- just an fyi if you have a dog. The road the house is on is busy and does have traffic going 50 MPH so trucks can get loud. Again, this shouldn’t deter you from staying here, just sharing for your awareness. I hope to stay here again and I definitely recommend 5*****!

This is a very lovely historic farm house, yet with all the modern amenities and obviously internally renovated. It has an ideal location close to wineries and Watkins Glen State Park and is itself on a beautiful vineyard and orchard. The house is clean and comfortable — and quiet, despite its proximity to so many things to do. The kitchen is modern and well-stocked (but so many nice restaurants are close by that we never had a chance to actually cook “at home”). There is both a fire pit and a grill. There is a gorgeous lake overlook on the property, beyond the vineyard, with chairs — perfect for having drinks in the evening or coffee in the morning. And pet friendly! We highly recommend.

We had such a great time staying here! The place was extremely clean and the host was very responsive when we had an issue with one of the lights. A fantastic cozy option for a finger lakes getaway!

Perfect family getaway

We had a wonderful time at the guest house! What an adorable little farm house, with all the charm and all the things you need! We had a wonderful time and thank the Wickham family for making this little slice of heaven perfect for families to come enjoy Seneca Lake and all it has to offer!

Our second time here and not our last time.

This is our second time staying at the property and it’s not our last time. We love it here. It’s a quiet, clean property very close to some of our favorite wineries.

Perfect location

Perfect place to stay! Close to excellent wineries, Watkins Glen, and only a short drive to the Corning Museum of Glass. Property owner is helpful and easy to work with. Beautiful and well appointed home. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy house and beautiful views

We had such a wonderful time at the Finger Lakes Farm Retreat. The house is cozy and had all the space we needed for a family of 5 and 2 dogs. The house is so well thought out. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials you need. The location is perfect. Close to so many wineries, breweries, restaurants and amazing hiking. The farm is beautiful. Our whole family loved it here and can’t wait to come back!

Best place to stay

Our stay at the house was incredible. We went with 3 adults and 3 small kids and a dog. The location cannot be beat. Within 5 minutes of countless wineries, breweries, and restaurants. Also very close to waterfalls and parks. It was great being able to walk the farm and there is a great spot set up with chairs overlooking the lake which is perfect for sunset. Fred was awesome to communicate with and even set us up to pick cherries a day before opening to the public so the kids could have that experience. We loved it here and would go back

Overall, the place was great and was just what we needed for our stay in the finger lakes region. The biggest drawback is that the house sits on the main road. This was not made apparent in the online listing and you do hear all of the traffic (including throughout the night). Still, for pet-friendly places, this one was solid and was in a prime location, within walking distance of several wineries and a few farms where you pick your produce.

Loved it!!

Loved it! It is a 1940s farmhouse, beautifully situated in the wine country, beautifully updated and nicely appointed. Nice grounds, feeling of being "away from it all". We will stay here again!!
