You can comfortably host up to six guests across three welcoming bedrooms—enjoy the spacious king bed, a cozy queen bed, and two twin beds. Also, there's a sleeper sofa for extra convenience. The warm dining room is perfect for family meals and fun game nights together. In the living area, you’ll find plenty of seating, and the sun porch is a lovely spot to unwind and take in the stunning views, come rain or shine!

Venture outside to discover a charming fire pit with stunning lake views and a gas grill perfect for creating unforgettable outdoor meals. Wake up early to stroll down to the beach and feel the sand between your toes or enjoy splashing in the serene waters, or simply drift away on the jetty while taking in the breathtaking beauty of Lake Leelanau. There's also a delightful swing hanging from a majestic willow tree, a private yard ideal for play and badminton, and an outdoor dining area designed for al fresco enjoyment—complete with beach chairs, sand toys, stand-up paddle board, kayak, dock, and boat hoist (5,000 lbs). We warmly welcome well-mannered dogs for a nonrefundable fee, and we kindly request that pet owners ensure their furry friends are well cared for! No more than two dogs.

Lovely setting. Sweet cabin (very retro looking but everything functioned well). Getting in and out of the driveway is a challenge and sweeping the mayflies off the porch screens would have given a better view. But, all-in-all? A unique and beautiful place to stay.

Perfect Hideaway

My kids loved the lakefront in the privacy of the backyard. Watching the sunset was a huge highlight being down off of the main road also helped make it feel more cozy and private. Would love to return.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pros: property itself is beautiful, house was itself generally clean, rental company staff was super nice. The cons: water heater (from 1993!) needed service at 10 p.m. the night after we arrived; wi-fi went out within 24 hours of our arrival and three days later it was still not fixed (I ended up paying to switch wireless plans so we could have internet); master bath toilet needed plunging multiple times; the floor around the shower in the other bathroom was spongy; the outdoor structure that housed the badminton/water tubes/outdoor games was a mess (e.g., stuff thrown in, broken corn hole); and, despite ant traps in the house there were ants throughout the week. This was less of a vacation and more troubleshooting the next thing to go wrong. Would not stay again.

This cottage has a lovely yard with many spots to sit and just enjoy beautiful Lake Leelanau. The house is well equipped. The kitchen had pretty much anything you would need for cooking meals. The beds were pretty comfortable and lots of linens were available. We loved being able to bring our 2 dogs with us. Great stay!

Very special location on the lake

Somewhat small lake cottage with outstanding location. Small beach good for swimming, grassy "pier", screened porch, gas grill, ample lawn with picnic table, fire pit for s'mores...Near interesting spots to explore. Gorgeous old willow tree! Beautiful sunsets on the lake...

What can be said? This house had everything we could of needed for a comfortable stay. House was perfectly clean when we arrived, view of the lake and sunset, perfect. Beautiful water frontage, with walk in access. Dock for the rental pontoon. And our fur babies could come with us. One of my best vacations in a while. The location is in the center of it all. Thank you.

It was a great place for us and the dogs, we had plenty of room and the screen in porch was great - we could close it off when needed. Had ample dishes & cookware. the washer dryer was great.the yard was wonderful and the dock & water along with the swing were the best.thank you so much for a lovely vacation PS also found some great little farm to table stores to buy from just down the road- also best strawberries ever Early Glows at Bardenhagen farm just 10 mins away!!!

Great Cabin!

We loved the location, hearing the waves roll into the beach, the bonfire and the yard was perfect for our dog, it’s kind of naturally fenced in with bushes and trees. Kitchen had everything we needed, bathrooms looked new and really nice. We had a great weekend in this cabin and would come back.

Great location while also at GLEF

We chose to stay here while our 12yr old was horse showing at Flint Fields. It was a bit of a drive but not unreasonable. Kept our youngest happy because she hates going to horse shows. We also have family on north lake Leelanau so it made it convenient. House is clean, comfortable. Not fancy. Honestly, reminded me of going to my grandparents lake cottage when I was a kid. Was like a trip down memory lane.

Lovely October Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the perfect spot for a family reunion of sorts. It was very accessible for my elderly parents and gave them easy access to the lake. We loved how close it was to some very amazing October-peak-leaf-viewing spots around the area. The beds are comfy with 100% cotton sheets (it's amazing how rarely you find this in rentals these days!), there was plenty of space for all 5 of us, with ample room around the table for family dinners and card games. We were very impressed that the management company showed up quickly, on a holiday no less, when we asked for more kitchen towels - super responsive! We wouldn't hesitate to rent this home again for a future visit.

This nice house has mice.

We saw and had to catch and dispose of a mouse in the living room during our stay. Even though after this happened, we discovered mouse traps/poison in several places on the property. And when we called the host, they told us they would drop off some traps and peanut butter. Which we didn't believe was a very professional way to handle the situation. Neither was their unwillingness to provide a fair refund of our money, even with assistance from Vrbo.

Check-in process was breeze and I received great communication beforehand. The property photos were as advertised. The location of the property is close to most things and right on the lake.The cleanliness of the property needed a bit more care. We found broken glass, beer cans, a few rotting animal carcasses, and a few other trash items along the lakeshore and it smelled like rotting fish near the water the majority of our stay. The management company responded to our concerns quickly, however, it did take full day to fix the situation (we were only there 2 days). They stated that it was hard to find someone to come out on the weekend (we were there on a Thursday). But, they eventually did fix it. I’d say the location of this place is great, easy instructions, great lakefront but the management company could work on some of the kinks (perhaps checking the outside cleanliness of the property along with the inside) to make it easily a 5/5 property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at this nice lakefront cottage on south Lake Leelanau! The cottage was clean and comfortable, and every room had a quiet ceiling fan AND a box fan, so the cool breezes from the lake could be enjoyed inside. (I needed a break from the HOT to COLD to HOT that comes with hot weather and air conditioning! Ughh!) We loved the breezy-side location on the lake and did lots of swimming right in front of the cottage. (Bring water shoes, as the beach is mostly covered with small rocks.) We brought our own kayak so launching it from the beach was super easy. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and eating outside at the picnic table was really enjoyable. The only thing that would be nice is windows in the screened porch that are easier to slide to fully open. Overall, a fantastic stay; we even met the next-door neighbors who are lovely, super friendly folks. The property's management was helpful and responsive during a busy holiday week. Thank you!
