"Peace & Quiet. By Design!" Our Eagles Nest cabin is our most private cabin. Tucked back at the end of the Trail. Located in Rock Lake Provincial Park, only 7km from Rock Lake. Adjacent to Jasper National Park and the Willmore Wilderness. Our Handcrafted Awesome Log Cabins are spacious, open plan design with a full bath/shower. Glamping at its finest. Indoor plumbing, kitchenette with refrigerator, propane burner for drinks. Private deck with a griddle for cooking. Queen-size bed with double fold-down futon. All bedding, towels, crockery, and utensils provided. Escape the hustle and bustle. No crowds, no city noise, unplug and disconnect. A dark sky destination for stargazing nights and aurora sights. No cell phone service, no wi-fi and no tv a Game changer! Immerse yourself in nature, with many trails right from our cabins and the surrounding area. Hoff Ridge, setting off from our office, has 360-degree views. An awe-inspiring Hike on All Trails. Mountain life in the Northern Alberta Rockies at 'Rocky Mountain Escape'. The only thing missing is YOU!

Seriously such an amazing spot!! Everything was perfect from the privacy of the cabin, to the mountain views and wildlife!!! I have never felt so at peace on a vacation ever! The hosts were so kind and helpful and even provided us with local coffee grounds for us to make!! 100% would return

Thank you so much Julia and Gary for being incredible lovely hosts. Your Cabins are very beautiful, spacious, clean and homely. No wlan, no power, just the nature. Right in the wilderness with a lot of animals, rustic forest and a great lake. It was magic. We will come back!

We were greeted by the amazing hosts as soon as we steeped out of the car, we felt very welcomed. Gary brought the cart to bring our belongings to the cabin and he was even bringing our belongings in the cabine while Julia was providing us with the explanation about the registry booklet for when we would use the trails, that way they would know everyone came back to their cabin. The cabin was nice and warm as they had a nice fire burning in the fireplace upon arrival. There was a nice little welcome gift for the us the humans and there some treats for the dogs and doggy bags to clean after the furry friends. The cabine was fully furnished with the dishes and cookware, games and they even have map of the trails accessible at the front step on the cabins. I’ll sure go back and I highly recommend this truly beautiful gem, you’ll have a great time!

Perfect Escape to Nature

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this off-grid cabin, and it was everything we needed for a peaceful, restorative retreat. Nestled in the woods, the cabin offers the perfect combination of seclusion, serenity, and nature. The cabin itself is charming, rustic, and incredibly well-maintained. Even though it's off-grid, the amenities were thoughtfully provided to make the stay comfortable—cozy wood-burning stove, comfortable bedding, and enough solar power to meet basic needs without compromising the natural experience. The simplicity of the setup was actually a huge part of its charm! One of the highlights for us was the peaceful mornings—waking up to the sound of birds, stepping outside to fresh, crisp air, and enjoying coffee. It's the perfect place to disconnect from the busy world and reconnect with nature. The surrounding area is a nature lover's dream—there are trails for hiking, a nearby stream, and plenty of wildlife to spot. The remoteness of the location made it feel like a true escape. If you're looking for a remote getaway to unplug, unwind, and enjoy nature, Rocky Mountain Escape is the ideal spot. We can't wait to return!

An unforgettable Log Cabin experience!!

This outstanding log cabin is the perfect choice if you're searching for a peaceful retreat surrounded by the beauty of the mountains and wildlife. My boyfriend and I recently spent a weekend in this wonderful hideaway, and the experience well exceeded our expectations, leaving us with priceless memories that we will cherish forever. The cabin's design creates a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel like a true home away from home. It's in an excellent location close to hiking trails and offers numerous options for discovery and adventure. Julia and Gary deserve a special praise for their amazing hospitality. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied from the start of our reservation to the end of our stay. I definitely recommend this log cabin if you're searching for an unforgettable Mountain Escape. This location offers everything you might want, whether you're seeking a romantic getaway, a family holiday, or a single experience. Take the time to enjoy the calmness of the surroundings, bask in the beauty of nature, and make lifelong memories. I'd like to thank the hosts again for a wonderful experience. I can't wait to come back to this beautiful mountain retreat!

Disappointing Experience with Hosts

Overall, our experience was unsatisfactory. The hosts micromanaged our stay. First, there was a miscommunication regarding our dogs. As first-time Vrbo users, we selected what we believed to be a pet-friendly property. We had no intention of hiding our pets. However, the host confronted us at 10:30 p.m. after we had been out for 14 hours, accusing us of being deceptive about our dogs. We profusely apologized, offered to pay additional fees, and thought the issue was resolved. We left the property in pristine condition. Despite the host assuring us it was no big deal, they later left a Vrbo review expressing disappointment about us as guests. This two-faced behavior is disheartening. We also suspect the hosts entered our cabin without informing us, as we returned to find a light on when we had left with everything off and locked. Parking in front of the cabin is not allowed to "keep the road quiet." This was challenging as my wife is six months pregnant. We needed to drive up to the cabin to load and unload our belongings, but the hosts gave us a hard time, making the property inaccessible for those with physical limitations. Lastly, while the cabin is as advertised – remote – it’s not ideal if you plan to do activities in Jasper (2.5ish hours away) or need easy access to stores. Overall, I'd leave a 1-star rating due to the hosts' attitude regarding our quiet, clean, well-behaved, and paid-for dogs. However, the property itself was clean and cute.

Warning to future guests with pets, if you have dogs, please be upfront about this at the time of booking. Advise us that you have dogs, book and pay for them prior to arrival. Doing this will prevent us from confronting you and prevent you from feeling micromanaged. Whilst we do not park in front of our cabins, except to load and unload in the summer months, they are only a 1 min walk from the parking area approx 300 feet. This may seem challenging if you have already been out for 14 hours of the day. We are a TWO hour drive from Jasper town, if all your activities are planned around Jasper you may prefer to stay there! FYI..we would never enter a guest cabin without consent, even if we suspect the guest has left a light on. Thank you for taking the time to share our experience with others. Julia & Gary
