Lovely relaxing getaway spot

Nice and quite the owner was great and very friendly, definitely enjoyed the stay very clean and had a new feel to it! and recommend to anyone staying in the area :)

It was a pleasure to walk into Herons Rest and see how beautifully it had been left by the guests. They were respectful and considerate guests who would be welcome back at any time.

Lovely little place and a great overall stay. Maggie was great and supplied us with everything.

Lovely location with a short drive to the beach. Close to a couple gorgeous bays which also has a little walk that you can do. My friend and I had a great stay and throughly enjoyed all it had to offer.

Jo and friend were the most wonderful first guests to Herons Rest. They left the cottage so beautifully presented that I almost didn't believe they had been there. Considerate, happy, delightful guests.

This lovely cottage has been very well thought out and it is to a high standard. We loved our stay here and would like to come again. Friendly host.

Escape t o Athenree

Been to Waihi a few times, but never Athenree, long overdue! Margaret was a great host and prepped everything perfectly :) The place was nice, new, clean and quiet - exactly what we were looking for. Very relaxing and a great experience overall :D!

Perfect stay!

Beautiful little place all to ourselves. Very clean and still very new build. Everything we could need was included. Very much enjoyed the washing machine for our load of laundry. Bed very comfy. Maggie was very easy to contact and got to meet her at the end of the stay. Very nice!!
