The Stargazer is nestled in beautiful Kootenay mountain landscapes—across from Red Mt. biking trails, minutes to hiking, and next to Thin Air disc golf. Just 6 mins to downtown Rossland.
This artistic retreat offers mountain views, peaceful private 5 acres, and a large rooftop deck. Soak up the sun on the swinging chair, roast marshmallows in the fire pit, and unwind in the red cedar barrel sauna. Inside, enjoy a cozy fireside living space blending trendy decor with rustic log cabin charm.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Property Manager was great to deal with. The cabin was greater than expected. It was very clean and comfortable, and had all the necessities that you would have at home. Would highly recommend this property.

Home away from home!

This log cabin is the perfect place to stay and enjoy Red Mountain and the area. The Location made our days on the hill really easy and stress free. The place was extremely clean with a very well stocked kitchen, extra comfy beds and some extra special local treats for us as well. We were very well looked after and I highly recommend Shawna as a host. Would love to come back one day soon!

Well-appointed, clean, and convenient

We really enjoyed our stay at the Stargazer! The cabin was very clean (as if it was brand new), comfortable, and well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The host was responsive when we had questions and we especially loved the heated floors and fireplace. This will be our go-to on any future trips to RED.

Family Ski Time

Ideal for a family gathering. Clean, cozy, warm and relaxed. We enjoyed the large round table for eating and games. Has a nice kitchen, warm floors, and the sauna was a nice treat after skiing. Nice open area to gather around a fireplace for drinks. Will stay here again.

Log Cabin in the Forest

The cabin was clean, with modern amenities, and very pleasant views. It is convenient to Rossland. Everything was as advertised on VRBO. Architrecture is beautiful. Carport is convenient and roomy.

Perfect Little Log Cabin

Three friends ski trip had an excellent stay. This lovely log cabin has great views of Red Mountain. The cabin is loaded with everything you will need. The host is easy to work with and offered up a lot of local info to help with our planning. I highly recommend booking this cabin. -Rick

Stunning cabin in the mountains

What a beautiful experience! We spent a few days at this gorgeous cabin and didn't want to leave! Our bed was very comfortable. Shawna, our host, was fantastic. She even left us some treats! We are looking at our calendar to see when we can go back!

Beautiful Cabin with Sauna

Our group of four adults and two medium sized dogs were very comfortable in this cabin. The host provided the most wonderful gift basket with doggo treats.Though small in a few places, the living room and dining table fit us all just fine. The sauna was an amazing addition and really elevated our stay. The property is beautiful and we even cross country skied out the front door to Blackjack Ski Club.

Idyllic Getaway

Shawna’s beautiful cabin was perfect! Spotless, comfortable, well appointed and in a beautiful setting on 5 acres close to town and Red Mountain. She thought of everything for our stay and was super attentive when we had questions. And on top of that there was a basket full of treats to welcome us including dog cookies! We had a blast and will be back. Thanks to Shawna for all the effort to make your guests happy. Highly recommended!

“The best Christmas ever!” my granddaughter said and we all agreed!

Shawna’s log cabin is beautiful, cozy, and has everything you need for a wonderful stay in a winter wonderland, we didn’t want to leave. The gift basket was amazing, and the heated bidet was a highlight for all of us lol, we’re talking about getting one! The sauna was a treat that we used every day, my granddaughter loved rolling in the snow and then coming back inside. We only have positive feedback, our stay couldn’t have been any better, we hope to be back for more!

Just what you need

I wish i could come back in winter and cozy up on the couch and read after skiing. Still, the fall leaves were amazing. We got in late and came home to a fire on in the fireplace. The heated bathroom floor and toilet seat were just amazing after being in the crisp air. Close to lots of great dining.
