Welcome to Sunset Retreat by KEES Vacations!

This darling 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom, soundront condo, Sunset Retreat, is sure to please anyone who stays here! Located in the middle of Kill Devil Hills, guests are centrally located to all things Outer Banks!

As you enter the first level condo, guests will enjoy the tastefully decorated open-concept living space that includes the main living room, kitchen, and dining area. As you walk down the hall, guests will have their choice of either a King En Suite for ultimate privacy or a Queen bedroom for closer snuggles. There is a full bathroom that is also in the hallway. Step outside onto the back deck and enjoy the beautiful sunsets across the sound.

Positioned well-within driving distance to local and national attractions, day trips to surrounding islands, both fine and laid-back cuisine as well as shopping, reserving Sunset Retreat is akin to having a private resort at your fingertips. Located in the beautifully landscaped Oyster Pointe community, you'll have access to wonderful sunsets, a community pool (in-season), nearby jogging and biking trails, and community tennis.

**Private outdoor community pools and/or waterpark play areas are available, weather permitting, beginning on Memorial Day and close after Labor Day. Please know that pool operating dates are subject to change at any point, for any reason.**

Sunset Retreat is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! For a small one-time fee of $155, you can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only.

Check-In begins at 4PM.Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.

Nice Get Away

Nice place to get away for a few days. On the sound side. No noise from traffic. Very quiet area. Nice big in ground pool.

We loved the area and the pool was great.

We were very satisfied with the location and would love to stay again. We have never stayed on the sound side. I was surprised at how much my grandson liked it better. He loved being able to ride a bike around.

Breath Taking

Our stay was very beautiful!!! The Condo was very clean and comfortable. Everything you need was there. The pool walking distance the beach 1 minute drive. The stores, restaurants and activities we close too. We had a wonderful time

Nice quiet place. Close to everything. Very relaxing.

Outside of buildings were pretty dirty. Deck was unusable when it rained because all the water from above came into our deck area. Decor was a bit dated. But. Overall a nice place

Abandoned Condo

No one has been to this spot in a very long time. Sand in the closet, dead roaches all over the house, cobwebs in the corners, no towels or bedding. The condo was NOT prepared for guests. As much money as you spend, someone should take the time to have this place people ready. As far as location, great spot.

Nice place, great pool and location

Quick trip to OBX, so great that I found a place that I could book for 3 days vs. the entire week. The location was fantastic, just a short drive to everything. The pool was large and enjoyable, as was the view sitting on the patio. The beds were comfortable and area was quiet. The internet code never worked & when I informed about it a few times I was just give the same code. I fortunately had a Jet-Pack to use. I would recommend rearranging the living room furniture, with the couch facing the TV, so that everyone could enjoy watching a movie vs. just the two sitting in the lazy boy chairs. I would definitely come back and stay here.

Smells like Cigarette Smoke

As soon as we opened the door we were shocked by the smell of smoke. Had to open all the windows to air out but never got rid of the smell. I called the service to tell them know of our unhappiness. We also found 2 cockroaches. The service offered to spray for bugs and send housekeeping. They NEVER showed up to clean.

Smoke from ajacent condo

Pro: This is a lovely condo in a nice, quiet location with very comfortable beds, and was spotlessly clean upon arrival. Con: we arrived and there were no towels/called and did not receive them until the next day after 1:30 when we left to go to the beach (after 3 calls to Vacasa). The adjacent condo (not sure if it was behind us or above us) houses heavy smokers. When we arrived on Friday at 4 we only spent an hour in the condo getting ready and then left to meet some friends and returned at 10PM and the smoky smell was overwhelming. It was noticiable the entire weekend with night time the worst. Will not stay here again because of that.

Thank you for your review, Nicole, we do apologize about the experience you had while staying at this property, we will get with our housekeeping manager about the towels being brought out a day late, and we do apologize about the smokers we do not own that condo so we will not be able to reach out to them, we do hope to host you in the future.
