This tranquil, private property provides 3 bedrooms, ensuite, bathroom, 2 lounges, hot tub, pool table, bar (sorry not stocked!), pizza oven, fire pit, indoor/outdoor living spaces with an expansive covered in deck ... sprawling out onto a large lawn and various garden areas.

Everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing break away is on hand at this warm, friendly and welcoming rural retreat. Stay put, create memories and soak up the atmosphere or explore the surrounding area - just minutes away from the beach, the Tararua's, the stunning Otaki river, various cafes, eateries and shopping.

Cycle and walking trails/pathways are moments from the property, including bridle tracks (there is ample room to park horse floats and small paddocks/areas for your horse to graze if required).

Located less than an hour's drive from wellington, this spot is an ideal holiday or weekend getaway. Unwind, relax and enjoy!

Isness is also "home" to Isness Massage. The massage studio is located on the property, separate from the house and massage can be booked (subject to availability).

Beautiful, restful, tranquil and unique. This retreat encompasses everything you require for recuperation. My husband and I with our two young children loved this haven. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. Includes detail and style. The pizza oven, large outdoor area, comfortable furnishings and spa were some of our favourites. We would come back here in a heart beat.

Had a lovely stay here with a group of us for my birthday. The house perfectly suited my needs, and Lisa, the owner, was very attentive with her communication. A shame the brazier wasn't in working condition, as the outside area needed some extra warmth, but otherwise a nice stay indeed.

Lovely & Relaxing Stay

An absolutely wonderful place to stay just outside of Otaki; Lisa was an amazing host and made sure we were well looked after, even giving us tips for good swimming spots. The property was well-maintained with a whole lot of really good facilities; the spa and pizza oven were especially good, and it was lovely that all the stuff to get a fire going was already there. All in all if you want a really nice and relaxing escape from the city, this is the place to go :)

Perfect paradise

Perfect place to relax and unwind in a gorgeous private garden setting. We had no need to leave, this was absolutely perfect for our family to spend some much needed time together. The pool table and dart board kept the teenagers happy as well as the friendly pet pigs. Lisa the host is lovely and responds to messages really quickly. Highly recommended this property, we may even come back!

Lovely House and Garden

We really enjoyed our stay at Isness. The house was very clean & well-kept, and we appreciated the staples stocked in the kitchen. And loved the crisp white linen in the bedrooms. The garden is so relaxing and we enjoyed seeing the animals. The location is good as we wanted to be semi-rural, but we didn't feel far from the beach & shops. We especially loved going to Potts Reserve for a swim. Thank you Lisa and Jon

Relaxing weekend with friends

The house has everything you need for a fabulous weekend away without having to travel far. So much space inside and out. Nice walk to the old kilns and not too far to drive to the beach. Strange set up with the two bedrooms connected by a mezzanine floor - does mean you lack a little privacy noise wise.

4 frazzled Mamas enjoyed a 2 night stay at the peaceful paradise. We came with the intention of not needing to leave and that we did. We loved the gardens, the birdlife, the fires, the pizza oven, the games, the comfy beds. We honestly didnt want for anything. We are recgarged from our stay at your whare that had everything we could possibly need. Thank you so much for making such a wonderful, memorable weekend for our group of friends 😍

Well appointed and landscaped

This property has lots of thought to a holiday stayers needs. we loved the amenities. Hot tub and had to have a go at Pizzias since the oven was there . One surprise was two of the bedrooms are linked via a ceiling cavity so snorers or bonkers will be heard. we were fine also Im sure the owners will get the big vanity sorted as the basins were slow to drain. The house was very clean and had great personality with the kitchen really well equipped often an issue in rentals . Defiantly will visit again
