HARBOR FRONT Resort on Thames St close to Shops & Bars!

Bundled between the majestic waters of Newport Bay and Historic Thames St. shopping, dining, and drinking, the Newport Onshore Resort will be the ideal New England stay. With Newport as the "Yatching Capital of the World," it is the perfect place to experience all types of boating activities, so once you charter your boat for the day, you can come back and unwind in one of the many pools or sweat it out in the fitness center located on site. Most guest's also love that within walking distance they can find the best museums, antique shops, restaurants, and art galleries while watching the sail boats in the harbor glide past.



Offering spacious one-, two-, and three-bedroom resort suites that comfortably sleep four to eight guests and range from 800 to 1,800 square feet. Suites feature private bedrooms with one king bed in the master, one full bed or two twin beds in the guest rooms and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. You will appreciate the economy of a full kitchen and the convenience of a washer/dryer in each suite. Plus, suites offer a separate living/dining area, and spacious balcony.

The resort assigns the specific unit around the time of check-in so your view may vary. Let us know if you have a preference to be near a specific location throughout the resort or if you would like a specific view. We will gladly notate your preference and send this over to the resort as your stay gets closer. Please notate that requests are not guaranteed.



This is a timeshare resort. All presentations are completely optional, and not at all required to attend to stay at this resort or enjoy the amenities.

Very nice place. The rooms were very clean. It was a little bit hard to find and the parking was very tight but really liked our accommodations and proximity to shops abd restaurants

Had a great ocean front stay for two nights in a 2 bedroom unit. It was fantastic! Beds were super comfortable l. The units were very clean and fresh. Would most definitely stay again! What a view. The hotel staff were all so pleasant and helpful. I only have one complaint that the unit we had the heating vents were not functioning correctly. The master bedroom was freezing and the twin room at the other end of the unit was hot while sleeping.

Our room overlooked the marina & we had a beautiful view of bridge and marina.It was clean and well equipped with everything. Beds were comfortable and we slept great!Centrally located and close walking distance to restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend!

Front desk was very friendly and professional. Loved the location which was within walking distance of great restaurants and shops galore. Space was very comfortable, clean, and offered all necessities needed when traveling.

Great stay - 2BR, 2 bath, 2 balcony condo unit 341. Very partial harbor views and street views - mostly looking at construction scaffolding on next building. The lack of view was the only downside. Parking space was under the building and big enough for our pickup truck. Kitchen is well stocked with basic items, bathrooms have soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, plenty of towels, including pool towels. Location is perfect for exploring Newport with lots of dining/shopping nearby. We were here over Thanksgiving and they gave us a bottle of Prosecco at check-in so that always leaves a favorable impression!

Loved the convenient location near shops, restaurants and historic structures, roomy suite/condo and cherry-on-top helpful staff! Coffee in lobby was great; also coffee makers and coffee packs in suite. My son forgot his tooth brush but no worries, he was given a courtesy one. Computer and printer in lobby were a big help when I had something come up. I hope to return.

Overall, great stay. Clean, lots of room, pool was open during construction, and location was excellent for walking the area. Reason for not giving a 5-star is due to construction not all amenities were open, and we had a sliver of a view of the harbor. The listing stated view not guarenteed, but a view would have definitely made it a 5 star experience. We would gladly stay here again!

Perfect Location

Our accommodations were exactly as listed. Beds and bedding very comfortable and unit very sunny. Nice that there was a fireplace and came in handy on our one rainy and damp day. Best of all, location was amazing and main storefronts, wharf, tour trolleys and many restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely revisit Newport and stay here again!

Mother’s Day stay

The property was beautiful and in walking distance to all major attractions and restaurants. Amazing water view, friendly staff and comfortable beds! So wonderful to enjoy my Mother’s Day here with family. Two balconies as well, simply the best. Can’t wait to come back.

Bait and Switch

The pictures listed do not reflect the actual unit you will stay in. The direct view is not of the harbor but of the pool and building across from pool. What you see in the pictures is not what you will get in the actual property. The layout is similar, balcony on each end and 2 bedrooms, but beyond that there is no similarity.
