Great cottage - clean, spacious, comfortable beds, pretty view, hot tub is a huge bonus. My friends and I had a really nice weekend away - enjoyed the property very much. Only downfall is having to check out by 10:00 AM. Too early, in my opinion, considering what you’re paying. Regardless of that, I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a getaway. Perth is also a pretty town with great shops, etc.

Ideal Spot for Family Enjoyment

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lakehouse Retreat on the Big Rideau. Everything was in excellent condition and offered us all the amenities of home in a perfect location for a Family holiday on the water.

A beautiful getaway!

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful cottage. It is well-maintained, clean and has everything you could want or need. The lake is absolutely incredible - very deep and perfect for swimming. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a picturesque and relaxing getaway.

This vacation house was very well equipped with everything you could think of, both inside and out. We lost power for a short period and the host did quickly inform us as to the approx. time period Hydro advised we'd be without power. Just as a suggestion, the neigbour had a generac and in the garage there was a generator. This would be helpful in cases where power could be lost for an extended period. The hot-tub was a blessing, kitchen well stocked with everything anyone needs. Very comfortable rooms. The couch and chair areas could benefit by placing a few small end tables for drinks and snacks to sit on. When raining or wet the stairs down to the dock are slippery, difficult for young kids or older adults, could be dangerous for people who have poor balance. Overall we had a wonderful time, beauty spot. Take care of the landscaping. Thanks kindly for everything.

The Lake House

We were 5 girlfriends needing a weekend away to just enjoy each others company and to reconnect. This amazing Lake house filled the bill. Gorgeous, spacious, fully equipped, super clean, comfortable, warm and above all one of the best weekends that we as friends have ever had. Communication with the owners was easy. Check-in and check-out was perfect! Thank you again Andrew, to you and your wife for sharing your beautiful home.

Awesome ladies getaway

We are a group of 5 ladies ranging in age from 49 to 77 that get together on a monthly basis for supper, wine and lots of laughs. We decided to plan a 3 night trip and lucked out by finding this cottage. We loved everything about our stay. The cottage is beautiful and the setting on the lake is amazing. We had coffee and cocktails on the dock. We loved the hot tub. The rooms were nice. The kitchen was well equipped. Communication with the host was quick and pleasant. Can’t imagine how we could have been happier!
