This fantastic 1 bedroom offers light, sophisticated living and utmost convenience being located on the fringe of Wynyard Quarter and the Viaduct. The apartment is filled with beautiful natural light, pouring in through the glass windows and radiating through the space. The interiors are light and carefree emanating a calm environment for you to unwind and relax in. The location boasts ease with a metro supermarket across the road and wonderful cafes and dining experiences in every direction.

The Space:
Located in the heart of Wynyard Quarter, The Lighter Quay is your gateway to city fringe living, providing easy access to some of Auckland’s best amenities at your doorstep while avoiding the hustle bustle of the inner city. Enjoy sunny days walking around the area, head down to the sanctuary of Victoria Park for a stroll, another great walking route near by is the west haven marina or Wynyard quarter and viaduct where you will find fun vibes and delectable food.

This generous 1 bedroom apartment offers a laid back, relaxed and cozy energy with light monochromatic tones throughout the soft aesthetic and the picturesque surroundings of the canal and palm trees. Natural light radiates the open living area offering a lovely indulgent space to unwind after a long day. There is a smart TV providing you with endless streaming options to cuddle up to on a quiet night in (accounts not included).

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your favourite meal or try out a great new recipe!

The bedroom is a peaceful space, quiet and comfortable looking out at the palm trees. The bed is accompanied by high quality linen providing that crisp, sun kissed feeling helping you get a restful and rejuvenating sleep, there are blackout blinds in the bedroom to keep the light out as well. There is ample storage space so you can unpack and feel at home.

There is a laundry cupboard with a washing machine and dryer, we provide laundry detergent for your convenience during your stay.

The apartment complex has an indoor pool, sauna and gym available for your use during your stay.

Guest Access:
The whole apartment is yours to enjoy! You have access to the apartment complex facilities during your stay including an indoor pool, sauna and gym.

*Note* This apartment does have a contactless check in procedure - This means you will need to collect the key from an external location that is a few hundred metres away from the apartment. The detailed instructions on how to retrieve & return the keys will be sent to you 48 hours prior to your check in, please ensure you read this before beginning the check in process!

The Neighborhood:
Lighter Quay Complex is a quiet residential complex in Wynyard Quarter on the western side of the Viaduct Harbour within walking distance to many amazing cafes and restaurants, but far enough way to be peaceful. The location offers easy access to many of the city's highlights and conveniences on your doorstep. Stroll around the Viaduct Basin or over the Te Wero Pedestrian Bridge for a drink at one of the many cafes and restaurants in the area or up to the vibrant North Wharf where you can visit the Fish Market, the Waterfront Theatre and the Viaduct Events Centre.
Enjoy some fantastic walks nearby with the lush Victoria Park down the road and beautiful Westhaven board walk around the corner.

Getting Around:
You are just 10 minutes walk from Britomart transport hub with buses and trains going in every direction.
There are city link routes that will get you all around the city and to popular/in demand spots like the Skytower, the Auckland museum, hospital and domain, K road, and Mount Eden (Eden park stadium).
We recommend using Ubers, they are fast especially when catching from the city and well priced

Keys & Lock-Out Policy
Any keys  not returned to us on your check-out date will be charged in full, along with the cost of replacing the lock(s) to the property (if necessary). If you lose your keys, or lock them in the property during your stay, we will make every attempt to provide you with a replacement as soon as possible.

If outside of business hours (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm), we will charge you with a minimum call-out fee of $100+ GST as well as any other costs incurred in enabling you to access the apartment again and replacing lost keys.

Breakages:
Please inform us of any breakages during your stay. We won’t charge for minor cutlery/glassware etc.

No parties or noise after 10pm:
Please respect your neighbors. Security call out fees will be charged from your security bond. No more than 2 people to stay at the apartment.

Interaction with Guests:
We are not onsite but are available via call or email should you need anything during your stay :)

Open airey,clean well serviced apartment,centrally located in CBD. Walked everywhere and saw many thi gs. Didn't appreciate the key retrieval system upon arrival. Maybe find a more conveniant systsem. Great place.

A fun stay in Auckland
A sun-filled property in a great location. Lots of things to do close by, and in walking distance. Host was very prompt and helpful with any questions we had. A very enjoyable stay.

Uncomfortable
The location was great and the apartment beautifully decorated. However, the distance to the lockbox was further than described causing us to make two Uber stops, as we were coming from the airport with luggage. The dishwasher was broken when we got there, which was not a big deal in the scheme of things, but there was no reason for it. The apartment has no air conditioning, which we did not realize. The description does not list air conditioning but does not make it clear that there is no air conditioning, which may be a cultural misunderstand (we are from the United States) but the VRBO should realize that its guests are international and make that clearer. The real problem with that is the full length windows of the apartment face the afternoon sun, and the day we arrived it was fully sunny and suffocating in the apartment, making it hard to breathe. Opening the windows was no solution because there was major construction across the way which was not mentioned in the description and the noise was untenable. The two fans we found in the apartment offered no relief. Managment´s solution was to offer us more fans, but there was only one more outlet left to use, and the fan was not going to help anyway. We were never able to speak to management, they would only communicate by email. We had to leave and find another place to stay because the heat and noise made it unlivable.

Great location - but...
On the face of it this is a great apartment. But beware... getting and returning the key from a lockbox located some way from the apartment was a real hassle. And the floor to ceiling windows mean the sun heats the apartment to very high temperatures which are only partially mitigated by blinds and open windows. We also got charged for the dishwasher breaking down - they just took the money from my credit card! Sharp practice in my book.

Great location
We enjoyed the location. Place is beautiful and bed was very comfortable. The stay was clouded by a refrigerator that did not work for our entire 10 day stay. There was no air conditioning (and it was very hot with the late afternoon and evening sun) and without being able to keep anything cold, it was frustrating every day. We won’t stay in this facility in the summer. The agency did provide a small discount for the inconvenience.
