Hi Melissa We're absolutely thrilled to hear how perfectly our house served as the base for your family's special celebration! It sounds like the 21st birthday festivities for your youngest were both memorable and enjoyable, thanks to the gathering space our home provided. The large outdoor table and pool are indeed favorite features for many of our guests, and we're glad they added to your relaxation and enjoyment. It's wonderful to know that the tranquility of the surrounding trees and the convenience of nearby shops and eateries contributed to your positive experience. Thank you so much for choosing our place for such an important family milestone and for recommending us to your friends. We're looking forward to welcoming you back for another stay, hopefully making more cherished memories together.

Thank you so much for your heartwarming feedback, Barbara! We're delighted to hear that you and your group had a great stay and found the property well-suited to your needs. It was a joy to help with the hot water and to welcome you with our pantry goodies. Knowing that you felt at home and appreciated the convenient location for the SA Aquatic Centre makes us smile. Thanks again, and we can't wait to have you back for another memorable stay!

Hi Cathie, Thank you so much for your honest and thoughtful review. I’m really glad to hear you enjoyed the pool and the location — those are definitely two of the highlights we love to share with our guests. And it’s wonderful to know the beds were comfortable for you! That said, I’m truly sorry the cleanliness didn’t meet your expectations, especially with the windows and the absence of mattress protectors. Your feedback is invaluable, and I’ve already addressed these concerns with our cleaning team to make sure we step up our game. We want every guest to feel the home is fresh and welcoming from the moment they arrive. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience, Cathie. We’d love to welcome you back someday for an even better stay.

Hi Nhu, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. To clarify, the security camera facing the pool and entrance is externally installed, clearly visible, and commonly accepted in short-term rentals for general safety and protection. This practice is quite standard, particularly in homes with pools. We also noted your concern regarding child safety, though your booking did not include any children, which made the comment a little unexpected from our end. Nonetheless, in response to your discomfort, we went ahead and covered the camera during your stay as a gesture of goodwill. With regard to the front door, this is the first time we’ve received feedback about it jamming when opened from the inside. If you had reached out during your stay, we would have addressed it immediately, as we treat any lockout situation with urgency. Overall, we believe this feedback reflects a subjective perspective on features that are generally standard in short-term rental properties. That said, we do appreciate your comments and always welcome constructive input to help us enhance guest experiences.

Julie, thanks for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. With so many concerns raised during your stay, we didn’t go in expecting a glowing review, and of course, reviews are always subjective — what feels like an issue for one guest might not be the same for another. We understand that every guest experiences a property differently, and your perspective gives us valuable insight into what stood out during your stay. Regarding the washing machine, brand-new and checked twice by our maintenance team, it was found to be working perfectly. Any difficulties were likely due to user operation, but we still attended immediately to make sure everything was running smoothly for you. We appreciate you highlighting the positives too, like the spacious layout, big windows, Netflix for wet days, and the convenient location. Your feedback gives us a clear picture of what guests notice and helps us keep improving the property. Even with the hiccups, we hope you were still able to enjoy the house and the area.

Greetings! We're delighted to hear that you and your family, along with your pets, had a great time by the pool – that's what we love to hear! We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay, we understand how these issues could impact your overall experience, and we truly appreciate your patience. On a positive note, we wanted to inform you that the oven has been replaced, and the necessary steps have been taken to address the other concerns you raised. We also wanted to mention that the owner has worked tirelessly to sort out these issues during your stay. Your feedback is like a compass guiding us to be better, and we're committed to making things right. If your plans include another visit, we'd be overjoyed to welcome you back for an even more delightful stay!

We acknowledge your feedback, however we do note that this review appears aligned with the refund requests and concerns raised regarding fees, despite all charges being clearly disclosed and accepted at the time of booking. For this reason, we do not believe a refund is warranted. We also note that no urgent health or safety concerns requiring immediate attendance were reported to our team during the stay. In relation to the electrical concerns raised, the property can comfortably accommodate families and larger groups, however as with many residential homes, using multiple high powered appliances simultaneously may cause the circuit to trip. Previous guests have managed this without issue by staggering appliance use, and we will look into adding clearer guidance within the property for future guests. Regarding the hot water, the temperature setting on the external unit has been adjusted previously, however if taps are being used elsewhere in the home while someone is showering, this can affect water flow and temperature, which is fairly standard in residential properties. We also note the ensuite operates on a separate hot water unit, so this service would not run out during use. We would also like to clarify that the property has never been advertised or represented as a luxury home, but rather as a comfortable and pet friendly beach house suited to extended stays.

Thank you, Cristina, for sharing your feedback with us. We take all comments seriously as part of our commitment to providing high-quality stays for our guests. Upon learning that you were not fully satisfied with your experience at our property, we promptly took action to address your concerns. It's worth noting that we have documented evidence, including images of the property, which were sent to Airbnb, demonstrating the condition of the property after addressing your feedback, including the re-cleaning of the property and BBQ area, despite it being mentioned that the BBQ would not be in use. We also want to assure you that we regularly clean the pool, although being surrounded by trees can occasionally result in natural debris and leaves. Nevertheless, we strive to maintain the property to the highest standard possible. In terms of nature-related concerns, such as the presence of leaves in outdoor areas, we make every effort to keep the property in top condition. However, certain factors, such as weather and natural elements, can sometimes pose challenges that are beyond our immediate control. We also offered to shorten your stay with a refund for unused nights if the property didn't meet your standards after our efforts to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, we didn't receive a response before a refund was requested through Airbnb, with the preference expressed to continue the stay. Additionally, we'd like to highlight that previous guests have consistently provided positive reviews, reflecting our high standards. However, negative reviews often stem from guests whose refund requests have been declined. Our team is dedicated to providing a comfortable and enjoyable environment and taking immediate action on concerns. While you experienced inconveniences, we're still available to discuss the issue further. However, refunds after staying are still not possible.
