This was a great place for a mini family reunion. Plenty of space for eating and playing board games, enough bedrooms and bathrooms that each family unit had privacy, and wonderful shared spaces inside and outside for lounging and taking in the views. Very quiet and good for wildlife and star viewing but also close enough to town that it’s not a big deal if you need to pick up something from the store. We’ll be back!

Perfect rural getaway for extended family

This property was lovely in every respect—its site on Holdens Creek, its living and sleeping spaces, and its proximity to Assateague where we went for a day. We highly recommend it for a family group.

2.5 without screens on windows and sliders, 4.8 with screens.13-17 October 2026, four couples and one dog. Mostly good but with additions, it would be totally great. The Good: clean, huge, fabulous location, great decks on three levels, plenty of space, salon where the whole group could get together inside (more on inside later}, quiet and views of the marsh and right on the creek—required some driving then to get to places—45 easy minutes on back roads to Chincoteague and Assateague, . Bathrooms OK, 4 so each couple had their own, but only one “Ensuite”. Makemise Park (sp) close,right on the creek, good place for the dog to run and fishing off the park dock. sign on the road on the way to the house. Nice garage area with ping pong—corn hole boards but no bean bags?? Couple of kayaks, a canoe, some cruiser bikes, good WiFiThe silly: no paper towels provided, tiny amount of dishwasher soap, no detergents for washing dishes, one tiny bar of soap in the bathroom. But the BIG one and the reason I would not come back: no screens on any window or sliding door. multiple sliders. (upper floor slider locks don't work) The weather was great, cool, but the BUGS are horrendous (Eastern Shore, marshes, water, woods—comes with the territory). But when the bugs drove us indoors off the decks, we had to close all doors and windows. One thermostat on the ground floor, bedroom on top floor stifling hot. put at least one screen on one window in each bedroom and on all sliding doors.

Comfortable secluded country home

The home is beautiful, spacious and very clean with everything you could ask for. Very comfortable beds with plenty of linens and towels. It is more country than beachy and a bit of a drive to get anywhere. There was an issue with the downstairs washer and toilet at the end of our stay, backing up and filling with dark water but everything else was perfect.

Fabulous

We stayed the week after Xmas. The home was beautiful. Wonderful large kitchen and family room that we all could gather in. Beautiful view, access to the water, fire pit. Such a wonderful relaxing time. Will definitely go back. Met the owner. She was very welcoming and accommodating. Thank you Jenny!

Property Beautiful, but

Lovely visit spoiled only by shortfall of supplies of basic necessities (toilet paper(!); garbage bags, dish soap, etc. Also didn't realize we had to make our beds which was inconvenient considering our evening arrival with younger kids.

Our family had an amazing stay. The location was wonderful, and both the neighbors and fellow travelers nearby were very friendly. There are two additional houses behind the main entrance, which is helpful to know when arriving.We were in contact with both the owner and the property management company, Coastal Shore Vacations. Both were excellent, very responsive, and easy to work with.A few helpful notes for future guests. Not all windows have curtains or shades. This was not an issue for us, but it may be worth noting, especially in the upstairs master bathroom if you prefer more privacy. The upstairs blue couch was a bit uncomfortable since you could feel the springs, but we worked around it.The power went out briefly one morning, and since the house uses an electric pump, the water was also out during that time.We loved kayaking and canoeing and even caught a catfish off the dock. The stars were beautiful, and we were lucky enough to see a NASA rocket launch from the back deck, which was incredible.The kids loved the ping pong table and exploring outside. We would definitely consider coming back and highly recommend this property for a relaxing getaway.

Lovely family weekend

We had a fantastic family get together at Creek House. The views from this property are absolutely stunning, the kayaks and paddleboard provided hours of entertainment, and the spaces in the house were perfect for large groups to spread out or to gather, depending on what people wanted to do. The kitchen is well stocked with tools for cooking, and the indoor ping pong in the garage was fun for family ping pong! We did use the resort access one time, but were really having so much fun on the property that we didn’t need it. The house and the property are a resort in their own right! We were happy to meet the owner, Jenny, and some of her family. She was lovely and shared the story of the house and a bit of its history. We drove to the beach at Chincoteague (about 30 mins.) for three great beach days and some “town time,” but were happy to come back to the serenity of Creek House. The youngest with us, almost 10 years old, said it best: “I’m sad to leave because this was one of the best times of my life.” We all feel the same and hope we’ll be back!
