I would not recommend staying here. When we arrived AC was not on and host offered no assistance. Due to heat, we opted not to stay. Outside of property did not look like the pictures.

Lovely stay

We had a lovely stay. Lots to do. Loved the game room and hot tub. Accidentally locked ourselves out but got help quickly. Just be sure not to lock the door handle when leaving. Otherwise it’s was a great stay. Nice location close to stores and Helen.

Loved it

Everything was amazing. Only issue we had was the dryer wasnt working and after contacting the property manager this was never resolved. Other than that everything was perfect.

Gem in the wine country

This property was just like the photos. Very welcoming, comfortable, had everything we needed, even a welcome bottle of wine. Location is convenient to Helen, breweries, wineries. You need to pick up passes at the gate for this property, this was a slight delay. I think it would have been smoother if the owner had given us the lot number or house name instead of the address.

Awesome for families

We stayed there in the winter with out two kids (17 and 11). They loved the hot tub and game room in the house. We did not take advantage of any of the things in the resort (fishing, horses, etc), because it was too cold, but it would be fantastic to come back to in the summer. It is close to Helen which was a lot of fun to walk through. The host was fantastic and super responsive, and even left us a bottle of wine. It is really well maintained with lots of thoughtful details. I highly recommend.

Mixed review

The Good: The house itself was nice and bigger than expected. My kids absolutely loved the arcade and this was the highlight of their trip. The Bad: I've been coming to Mountain Lakes Resort for nearly 40 years and it has slowly been on a decline, but this time it has taken a nose dive. The waterslide is broken, the pool by the waterslide is closed, the putt putt course looks like it hasn't been blown off or taken care of in years, the pool at the club house had mold growing in it, the hot tub at the club house is broken, and there are no horses or staff for horseback riding. Overall all the amenitities look very rundown and dirty.I tried to contact the Guest contact Toni multiple times via email and phone before this stay and never got a response. Luckily we didn't have any issues with the house itself that would have warranted Toni's assistance. Pro Tip: if staying here, you will need to contact Mountain Lakes Resort ahead of your trip to secure resort passes to use thier amenities and get through the gate.
