We stayed here for the Portland Marathon and had a great experience! Our whole group really enjoyed the house, and it was even more beautifully decorated than we expected. The sauna was a huge plus, especially after the marathon, and the washer and dryer worked great! As another reviewer mentioned, the backyard could use a little trimming, but that was a minor detail compared to how much we enjoyed our stay. Overall, an amazing experience, and I would absolutely stay here again!

This was a great trip. They communicated with me every day. Addressed all but one of my concerns. Were very professional and helpful. I can't recommend this place enough. And the next time I'm in Portland, I'm staying there again!

The place was nice, and bigger than it looked in the pictures. We thought there was a random bolt action rifle in there, but it turned out to be a novelty pool cue. Downstairs bar was cool.

Not as expected. We left within minutes.We were disappointed from the moment we arrived. The neighborhood didn't match what we expected from the listing, and we didn't feel safe there. The house sits on a very busy street, with constant traffic noise, so it's not a quiet stay. Inside, the house had a noticeable odor and wasn't as clean as we expected. After a few minutes we decided not to stay and booked a hotel downtown, which was a much better experience. I wouldn't recommend this property.

Love the property but the yard is definitely not manicured as the photos suggest. It was not usable during our stay sadly and the fire pit was a huge reason why we booked. We were able to sit on the deck but needed to bring chairs from inside because the outdoor furniture was too filthy to use. I was sad there was no table for our family to share a meal at but the other amenities are lovely - pool table and sauna which everyone greatly enjoyed. We did have trouble getting the a/c to work as well but opening the windows aired the place out making it more comfortable. Also couldn’t get the Google speaker to work but we still enjoyed our stay - just wouldn’t book again as I really enjoy having a table for the family to gather around and missed this greatly during our visit.

If you have pets, be aware there is a cat who they say is a neighborhood cat but basically lives there. This was not in the description and we stayed with our cats and dog. Our pets and that cat were very stressed during our stay, unfortunately. There was also an alarm incident where we did not have the code to turn it off, and no one could get a hold of the owner for multiple hours. Police came. Every time a door or even a window opened the alarm went off and police were notified. The place was nice enough but there are things that could definitely beimproved. Like adding that there is a cat on the premises in the description.

To clarify, the cat mentioned is a neighborhood cat and not under our control, which is why there is a note inside the home to make guests aware. We will review how this is communicated to see if it can be made clearer in advance. Regarding the alarm, it was not set or activated prior to your arrival. One of the guests at your party activated the system without confirming authorization or receiving the code, which unfortunately led to the incident. We regret the inconvenience and stress this caused. We appreciate you noting that the home itself was nice, and your feedback is helpful as we continue to improve the guest experience.

Perfect Portland home for my family vacation

We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the East Tabor home in Portland. It easily ticked off all the boxes on our checklist and was comfortable and accommodating for our family of four. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a locally made bottle of wine, setting the tone for a great Portland experience. The kitchen was thoroughly stocked with every cooking tool we needed, which allowed us to enjoy homemade breakfasts and dinners. Its proximity to the freeway provided us with easy access to downtown Portland. If you like the outdoors there are great parks in Portland. From hikes in Forest Park to the rose garden in Washington Park. I needed to do some work during our stay and appreciated the strong and reliable Wi-Fi throughout the house. For our children, the punching bag in the exercise room and pool table provided plenty of entertainment, so much so that the huge TV in the living room stayed off. Though we didn't get a chance to try it, the sauna, found behind the folding doors at the bottom of the stairs, is worth mentioning. There is also a washer and dryer by the sauna that we were happy to have. The home also had an outdoor BBQ, a downstairs fridge, and a wet bar, making it an excellent choice for two couples. We look forward to a future stay with family or friends! :)
