Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway located in the picturesque waterside village of Metung, this family friendly, pet friendly,newly renovated 1 bedroom house that sleeps 4, is nestled in the Tambo Bluff Estate, close to the newly opened Metung Hot Springs and The Metung Country Club and Golf Course. Stay and enjoy the tranquil bush setting full of bird life, bring your boat and cars to explore Lake King on your doorstep in Metung, and the local attractions of Lakes Entrance and East Gippsland.



The 1 bedroom home has been lovingly renovated and prepared for guests to give them a warm, comfortable and luxury experience in the home. It has new furnishings and bedding. A 58 inch UHD TV, Netflix and wifi for guest use. Outside includes a huge lawn area, established gardens, and lots of parking areas for cars and boats. It also has a secluded beach a 15 minute walk or a 2 minute drive away.



We are a dog friendly holiday home with secure fencing provided, so your dog can be safely secured while they are outside. We have a drawer in the kitchen with dog bowls for their food and water, and we have also providedpoop bags so can very kindly pick up after your dog too. We hope you enjoy your stay with your highly valued fur family members. Who wants to go on a holiday without your dog, I know I wouldn't!!



Guests have access to the full property and can use all facilities provided.



Metung is a sought after holiday destination, known for it's stunning views along the water, the long awaited opening of the Metung Hot Springs, and easy access to the Lakes and all that allows including a range of water sports, amazing fishing, boating, kayaking, natural wilderness as well as gourmet food and wineries.

We loved stay at Ally’s very comfortable, pet friendly home. Everything was great and the place has everything you need. The yard was a fabulous size for our two dogs and we would highly recommend the Blue Lake Cottage to anyone looking for a high quality getaway.

Such a lovely little place. Great position right above a little stream and walking path. Everything was so clean. Our dog Benny was catered for as well he loved the large garden to run around in.

We enjoyed our stay here with our two Senior dogs. The kitchen was well appointed and the big shower head was awesome. Although located a bit out of the centre of Metung town, we did love how quiet the area was.

The whole setup and style of the cottage was very relaxing and welcoming for both families and their pets. Our dog was exciting with the yard and it was enclosed so he could access it safely. The beds were super comfortable, and kitchen well thought thru. With or without pets this is an absolute gem of a place to stay at in Metung.

Great location

We stayed at Bluelake cottage for 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The cottage is well appointed and lovingly decorated. We enjoyed the location which borders bush and was so peaceful and quiet.

Great, dog friendly property

It was a lovely dwelling with a large, dog safe yard, in quiet, bush surrounds. We enjoyed relaxing on the verandah and using it as a base for walks and exploring the area.

This property was comfortable, spacious and well-equipped and a secure place to stay with our little dogs. The peaceful setting with an outlook onto trees can be easily enjoyed from the wide verandah. We wished we could have stayed longer and will most definitely look to return. Highly recommended!

The property was very pet friendly and the location was very peaceful. Overall the location was ideal, the property was well fenced with plenty of room for our dog. A couple of points for improvement; a screen for the entry door to allow for fresh air, also the window in the bathroom was locked so not able to be opened, additionally the sandwich toaster was not clean and some extra bags for rubbish would have been useful. On the whole we had a wonderful day and would love to return in the future.

Such a relaxing stay

Perfect location for a family trip away (hubbie, me and our dog). Our dog loved the garden and found all the sunny spots to relax in! The garden was secure for him to explore. All our needs were catered for & we were very comfortable in the house. Excellent pasta from the Little Red Bucket just up the road highly recommended. Central location to get to all the surrounding places. We had a lovely stay thank you.

The cottage was lovely & we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The four poster bed was definitely a nice touch as was the coffee machine. One drawback was there was no dishwasher so a dish brush would be helpful.Overall was a lovely place and spacious front yard where you could exercise & do jogging.
