Stretch out in the large living room in front of the fireplace, or go down to the lower relaxing room, with another large screen TV. Mealtime is a joy with a beautiful dining room table and large kitchen with all the amenities to make gourmet meals. You will probably grill up a lot of meals outside on the deck and after supper head into Grand Bend for Ice Cream and some shopping. Don't feel like cooking? No problem, within a 2-10 minute drive there are many restaurant options available.

And the BEACH!! Bare Necessities is just a few steps away from the best beach in the area! Many of our guests come to this area just for the beach alone. Please note that there are NO direct steps behind the cottage to the beach. However, there is a public access literally less than a one minute drive north of the property with lots of sand and clean water make it a safe place for the kids to enjoy swimming. This public access is a well kept secret among the locals and the beach is never busy as a result.

Bear Necessities has just undergone major renovations in 2022/23 to update and make it a comfortable place for your family to enjoy some well deserved time together. It now has brand new bathrooms, extensive kitchen with coffee & wine bar and a massive island perfect for gathering around, new beds, full laundry room as well as a large comfortable family room that walks out onto a large brand new covered back deck. It is a 4 bedroom, 3 full bathroom home.

We are pleased to be able to offer you this luxury cottage all year round! Winters are tranquil & peaceful and the view over the Lake Huron is amazing all year long.
Cottage comes with a fully equipped kitchen, 3 smart TVs, fire pit and chairs, lots of outdoor seating, beach chairs and outdoor lawn games and so much more.

Parking for 3 cars maximum.
