We loved staying here! It was super central to the downtown area and not far from the beach, either. Very clean and plenty of space!

The Salty Crab is a very cute, clean and comfortable house located close to restaurants and shops. The house had everything we needed for a fun week at the beach. It is very dog friendly and really enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the morning. The house was equipped with all the appliances you would need and appreciated the starter pack of TP, Paper Towels, dish soap, etc. Would definitely recommend this house and stay there again.

Our annual Chincoteague vacation

This is the second summer we have stayed at The Salty Crab. It is a wonderful house and well equipped. The location is convenient to shops, restaurants, the grocery store, and a great playground!

A New Favorite Spot

My husband and I spent a long weekend at the Salty Crab with our pups. The house was absolutely WONDERFUL, well equipped, with cozy beachy decor. We loved it so much, we have already prebooked for early summer!

Salty Crab

Great location, great for family. Two things we wish would change - while there was lots of overhead lighting, it would wonderful if there had been more table or floor lamps and it was not clear in the amenities that there was no dishwasher. We would stay there again however.

Great location!

Nice house with plenty of space- we had 4 kids and 3 adults. Loved the kids' room! Enjoyed both the front and back porches, especially with my morning coffee. Speaking of coffee, go to AM PM on Main Street- amazing cold brew and employees. Loved that the walk to Main Street was 2 minutes. thay we xould walk

We had a wonderful stay & the unit is well kept. This was our first time in Chincoteague. Unfortunately the beach & Chincoteague are not dog friendly. We have Labrador’s that love to swim. The description of the rental should emphasize this. However, we loved our stay & have already reserved for next year.

House was having a leak due to which we couldn’t use lights in kitchen n one master bathroom

We liked the house but not being able to use master bathroom was not ok n that leak messing with kitchen lights was very inconvenient when asked for refund it wasn’t received well by the seaside folks .

The house was lovely, morning coffee on the front porch, the backyard and back porch were great for afternoon meals and relaxing, and the fire pit had plenty of chairs to gather for evening bonfires. However our initial impression was disappointing, it was as if the home was only partially cleaned after the prior renters. We ended up washing and changing sheets as they were covered in dog hair; we really couldn't use the living room couch because of the 'dog' smell and hair; we ended up opening all the windows and sweeping/vacuuming all the floors and porches before bringing in our luggage and food; the kitchen chairs are terribly stained. Once we did this initial sweep and clean we did enjoy our stay. It's a shame, the house itself, yard, and decor (but for the first floor couch and chairs) were very nice.

Great Stay!

It was the perfect layout for our family of 6, including 4 young kiddos who loved the double bunk room (I do wish more places had a double bunk setup because it’s amazing!) . The property is super walkable to all the Main Street fun and most things elsewhere! The property managers were fantastic, kind, and responded very quickly. The house was clean upon arrival. The kitchen was surprisingly stocked with seasonings and other kitchen must-haves that most rental places don’t provide! If I had to say one thing I would change (and it’s very minor) but I wish the front porch could maybe have a few citronella candles or eventually a screen because the mosquitoes made it tricky to enjoy the porches in the morning and evening. But again, the property owners can’t control the mosquitoes lol. It was our fourth stay with Seaside vacations and they really do such a great job! I wouldn’t hesitate to book the Salty Crab again!
