Idéal pour une escapade en famille, Casa Tora est une maison de deux étages située sur la plage isolée de Playa El Coco, dans le sud du Nicaragua. Casa Tora est situé dans une communauté de plage écologique, Parque Marítimo El Coco (à seulement 2,5 heures de l'aéroport de Managua, au Nicaragua. Le parc est à 2 km de la réserve de tortues de La Flor où des milliers de tortues viennent chaque année pour pondre leurs œufs. La maison est abritée sur un terrain boisé à 50 mètres de la plage. Playa El Coco est une plage de sable blanc d'un kilomètre de long où des singes, des opossums, des perroquets et d'autres oiseaux tropicaux viennent se nourrir. Un paradis naturel pour la détente, l'observation de la nature, le vélo, le boogie et la planche de surf, la plongée en apnée, la pêche, la natation et plus encore. Playa El Cocoa est à seulement 17 km au sud de San Juan del Sur, une charmante ville balnéaire avec des supermarchés, des restaurants et d'autres services.

La maison combine un design colonial traditionnel avec des équipements modernes. Le premier étage a un grand porche, une cuisine entièrement équipée, une salle de bains et une chambre spacieuse pour deux. Le deuxième étage a un porche, deux chambres et une salle de bain.

Nous vivons à Managua et pouvons vous aider à organiser vos déplacements depuis et vers Playa El Coco.

Amazing location!

Playa El Coco is such an amazing place. Casa Tora was a great place to stay, and Jenny was very responsive and helpful throughout the process.

Perfect beach location

Our family spent our last three days of our vacation at Casa Tora, absolute best decision. The house was perfect for our family, and the location was fantastic. The beach was so quiet, and clean. The water was warm and crystal clear. Would stay here again for sure.

Peaceful and quiet

Casa Tora is beautiful, well maintained and equipped. There were days we were the only people on the very, beautiful beach. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The bus stops close to the house if you do not have a vehicle. We had a terrific vacation!

Perfect getaway!!

First of all, I like to say this is one of the places I have liked the most! If you would like to be out of the city noise, and crowed places, this is it! There is a beautiful two story house all to yourself. No a/c but you get a cool breeze at night. And the beach is only thirty seconds from the house by foot. You hear the wave crashing from the house, beautiful sand, clean, and no little rocks on the beach, all flat smooth sand. One thing to keep in mind, get everything you need (grocery) before you get to the house, if you don’t mind the driving. There is a pali supermarket on your way to the house which is like thirty minutes driving. Also, like to thanks Juanita, the house keeper, very helpful and friendly. Winston, your main contact, also very friendly and helpful. Very nice place to stay, keep it up! Definitely will be back😁

Great house in a great location

First of all, Jenny was an AMAZING host! Full of tips and recommendations from the moment we reserved. The house was comfortable and we slept well with no AC. The kitchen was well stocked and great to cook the fish we caught on a fishing charter. The proximity to the beach was the highlight of this house! It is a quiet beach with very few people. Even on New Year's Eve, it wasn't crowded. It was a great place to celebrate with bonfires along the beach. We also saw howler monkeys, parrots, and iguanas from the porch. Jaunita was a wonderful housekeeper and came every 3 days with fresh towels and linens. The store on the grounds is closed, so stop in town to get groceries before you arrive. San Juan del Sur was close enough to restock every few days-once you got used to the roads. The roads were "rustic", although they are now paving them-which will be so nice once done. A few places we loved that were recommended by Jenny and few we found on our own:Big Sky Ranch for trail rides and lessonsOcean Surf and Sport for fishing and snorkelingLa Flor for sea turtle arribadas (we saw 3 come up to lay eggs in less than an hour!)Restaurante Puesta del Sol is right on the beach, so getting a drink or food was easy-and delicious!Gaby's Laundry in SJdSOne thing to note, there is no hot water. This is a thing throughout Nicaragua that I did not know about being a US citizen. However, after a hot day at the beach, it was invigorating and would not deter me from staying here again!

Nice option at the beach

The house is nice, fully functional with 3 bedrooms in a private community. Location is very convenient to the beach at Playa Coco, probably less than 2 minutes from the door to the sand. Lots of bird activity and also a troop of 10 howler monkeys early one morning right outside the house. The master bedroom upstairs has huge windows that allow the breezes to pass through. Bed was very comfortable. The water pressure in the downstairs shower was very strong. The caretaker had advised us that was the better shower to use vs. the one in the master upstairs. Everything we used in the kitchen worked fine and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of dinnerware, drinkware, utensils, pots & pans, etc. Communication with the host was great, always responded promptly and gave good information leading up to our stay. Only slight issue was the caretaker did not show up at the predetermined time (even confirmed with the host the morning of our departure) so we needed to leave without the official check out process completed. We waited 15 minutes but needed to depart due to a commitment later that morning. All in all, a pleasant stay in a nice quiet beach. Just what we were looking for.

Wonderful

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Tora. Nice and close to the beach. We saw whales, monkey's, and baby turtles going into the water. It was very clean and comfortable. Easy to communicate and get info when needed. The only thing that was a little hard for us because we didn't have a car, was there was not many ways to get into town other than the bus and i the house is far away from everything. But if you feel adventurous the bus wasn't hard to take and it was a fun experience!! We are so thankful we stayed here and had such an amazing time!!!

Great House with Fantastic Location

We loved our stay here. The house had everything needed including good WIFI. The close location to an amazing beach was the best part. Jenny was very accommodating and is an excellent host.

Good house

I spent new year with my family at Casa Tora it was nice, very clean, had all the main house supplies, close to the beach, good neighborhood. But the microwave didn’t heat at all and there weren’t paper towels or napkins. It’ll be awesome if the house had WIFI and AC, specially for summer when the weather is so hot.

We are a family of five who live in Managua, Nicaragua. Jenny (born in Chicago, USA) and Winston (born in Leon, Nicaragua) and our children Amaru (24), Amaya (19), and Hazel (36) who still comes to visit!

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We started coming to Playa El Coco in 1997 and, since we kept coming back, we decided we wanted a house here. It was finally completed in March, 2016. Our children learned to ride their bikes, boogie board and snorkel here; saw their first shooting star and have had countless other memorable adventures with monkeys, hermit crabs, dolphins, whales, turtles and more. We rent our house to others so they can enjoy Playa El Coco as well and to help cover the costs of maintaining it. What we like best about Parque Marítimo El Coco, aside from the beach which we think is the best in Nicaragua, is the natural environment we share with wildlife who also live here.

We named our house Casa Tora after the tora sea turtle, leatherback in English, the largest (up to 2 meters long!) and most highly endangered sea turtle in the world. We have seen her tracks on the beach at Playa El Coco and her babies hatch out and go to the sea, but we are still waiting for the chance someday to see the adult. Keeping Playa El Coco as natural as possible, free of noise, lights and contamination is important to us and the toras.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

20 minute hike from La Flor Natural Reserve where thousands of turtles come to lay eggs and where their babies hatch. Wildlife all around including parrots, monkeys, skunks, turtles and more. We love that we can walk down to the next beach to snorkel or boogie board right on El Coco, or fish, or practice surfing! We love the sunsets and the uncrowded beach.
