Stunning!

Beautiful cottage and location with short walk to the beach. Had all the basics including soaps and paper products to get you started. Bed was comfortable and Hosts were friendly and responsive. Thank you for a wonderful week Alecia.

It was wonderful in every way except for the mosquitoes. Thousands of them. Maybe they should spray. We loved the cottage. Could not cook out either.

Cherry Hill Beachfront Gem

Exceptional cottage with outstanding views. The cottage itself is a cut above- new, spotless and fully equipped. It’s on a small bay, overlooking a beautiful sandy beach. Great for birdwatching. Easy access to Lunenburg and Bridgewater. We were sad to check out!

Stunning property!

Alecia was most gracious and accomodating. We were in contact with her continually, and she was able to ensure a wonderful experience. The property was new and very comfortable. There was a bonus in seeing wildlife, deer, rabbits, loons etc. the close by beach is amazing and one of the best I’ve experienced in Nova Scotia. We highly recommend this exceptional property.

The location of this house is stunning. 10/10. Very close to a spectacular beach. The house was super clean and we very much appreciated the stocked pantry (coffee, oil, vinegar, salt, sugar etc), laundry, netflix and even popsicles in the freezer! The kids had a blast. For the adults, a few suggestions to make the stay easier would be: some clothing hooks, hangers, laundry line for beach towels, and maybe some dimmers or lighting options in the main area to help chill out in the evening. Mattresses might need replacing soon. Regardless we would definitely come back to this spot!

The view is lovely and the nearby beach spectacular but the number of mosquitoes was overwhelming! We were bitten so many times and had to run from car to door which made it impossible to enjoy the outside deck or to BBQ. Walking to the beach was impossible with the number of bugs, at all times of the day. We had issues with the smoke alarm going off in the middle of the night due to low battery and that was not resolved during our stay. The AC unit in the bedroom was loud and did not cool the entire house. Plus the mosquitoes came in thru the AC unit.The house needs some end tables, a mini-split system to cool instead of the window AC, and some more cutlery.

It's too bad there were so many mosquitoes during your visit. Certain times of the year they are worse than others. There were very few this year in June and July. This goes for the entire rural coastal community. There is little I can do about that but luckily the beach is usually free of mosquitoes so I hope you were able to enjoy the outdoors there. I tried my best to get the backup battery replaced before your visit ended, the smoke alarms were still fully functioning since they are hardwired in.

La propriété est conforme, propre, c'est l'environnement qui ne l'est pas. En raison des moustiques, il était impossible de demeurer à l'extérieur. Adjacent à un marécage, nous étions assaillis dès que nous allions dehors. Pourtant habitués aux moustiques, nombreux, au Québec, nous n'avons jamais vu cela, et nous n'avons vu aucune mention de ce problème dans les commentaires. Dommage.

I'm sorry to hear that the mosquitoes were a nuscience during your visit. It seems that between the middle of August to the middle of September this year we did experience way more than usual. Earlier in the summer there were few, if any at all. In case you wish to visit again, please know it's not always like that.

Perfekte Location

Wunderschönes Haus in sehr ruhiger Lage mit herrlichem Meerblick. Wer Ruhe sucht ist hier genau richtig! Das Haus ist neu und gut augestattet, selbst in der Küche fehlte es an nichts. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war unkompliziert. Bei Fragen wurde umgehend geholfen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
