Beautiful home
We enjoyed our stay and the area. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed including any cooking utensil or pan we needed and we cooked a lot. This house is perfect for two families or kids who want their own space as the downstairs had a wonderful living room, bedroom and eating area. Highlands Outpost is worth the drive to ride the mountain roller coaster and do tubing. Rainbow Falls was also incredible!

Summer Vacation in Highlands/Cashiers
The inside of the property is everything as pictured; lovely. However, it is disappointing that there is not a better description that there is another house that shares a deck and is a mere 25 ft. from front door to front door, not as private as we were expecting. Also, when we arrived, we were dismayed to find the property's front door unlocked. We spoke with the property manager to inform her of unlocked door. Also, the code were given to lock, unlock door did not work but the property manager quickly gave us another code, which worked, and then all was good. We were greeted by a barking dog at the neighboring property, and the dog was a bit of a nuisance during our stay (and we are dog lovers ourselves).
The cabin was lovely, modern and updated. Comfortable beds and pillows. Everything very clean, and everything we needed was provided in the cabin - towels, sheets, kitchen items for cooking, eating, etc. Great that it had washer and dryer in cabin. Great air conditioning, quiet and cool. Our son enjoyed the separate bedroom and den space downstairs, and we all had a lovely stay.
