We are sorry to hear that the road noise affected your stay and your ability to sleep. For future guests to note, it is stated in the listing that Lakeland Village lodge units are near the main road and that you may notice some ambient noise. Many of our guests find the potential ambient road noise a fair tradeoff for the prime location/walkability of the unit to the lake, restaurants, and grocery stores. We understand that noise sensitivity varies from guest to guest, and we are sorry that the location did not provide the peaceful environment you were hoping for. We always strive to make our listings as accurate and transparent as possible so guests can choose a property that best fits their needs. Lakeland Village was built in 1973, more than 50 years ago. It is a fabulously unique property, as it is right on the lake, with a beautiful beach, pier, boat buoys, 2 swimming pools, hot tub, firepits, and walking to groceries and dining. There are no other properties like this in South Lake Tahoe, and there will never be another, due to building restrictions around the lake. Also, many updates were completed on the property this summer for future guests to enjoy. We hope you enjoyed your time in beautiful South Lake Tahoe, Katie!
