Welcome to La Contenta- the contented place- where you will enjoy coastal outdoor living at its best.  With as many inviting outdoor seating and lounging areas as bedrooms, and more; this home is the perfect fit for an active family vacation or a restful retreat at this cloistered island neighborhood.  All five bedrooms have direct access to a balcony or patio.

The Palm Beach chic main living area boasts an open floor plan and a Sony 4K ULHD HDR 60” wall mounted television with HD cable service including Sports and SEC Packages and a Blue-ray DVD player.  All five bedrooms have wall mounted flat screen TVs.  Relax on the comfortable sectional sofa, love seat or accent chair.  From this living room you can step out of the French doors on to the Front Deck to enjoy the view of one of Destin Pointe’s coastal lakes.  A café table with 4 chairs is a great spot for morning coffee.

The dining area includes a wooden table with eight chairs as well as the long kitchen peninsula’s raised counter and four bar stools.  The dining table can seat up to ten guests using the matching additional chairs around the home.  Enjoy preparing meals and entertaining with island hospitality in the updated and fully stocked kitchen.  A large pantry closet, half bath and walk-in laundry room with full sized washer and dryer are accessed from the kitchen.

From the dining area you can proceed to the large partially shaded Back Deck which overlooks the home’s private heated pool and small lawn.  This porch is furnished with deep seating lounge furniture including a sofa, two club chairs, two ottomans, sides table, a coffee table and a BBQ grill.  By day it offers nice shade and a view; by night, a full view of the stars.

Descend the gated staircase off the deck to access the pool and yard through another locked gate.  With a table and six chairs for al fresco meals, four chaise lounges for sunning, and a New Orleans style café table with chairs for cocktail hour relaxing, the pool deck offers plenty of areas to hang out pool-side.  The pool can be heated in the cooler months and is lighted for evening swimming.

Outside the pool’s fence is a covered patio where you can take a break from the sun, play the ring game or relax adjacent to the fenced in pool.  From this area there is access to the Guest Suite and a separate mud room entrance to the home.  

The ground floor entry door leads to a cabana room for towels and sandy feet.  The Guest Suite has private access directly to the back patio and pool.  Perfect to function as a second master with a queen bed, en suite bathroom, two chests of drawers and a large closet great for settling in for a long stay.

On the main living floor of the home are 3 more bedrooms.  The Master Suite has a wall mounted big screen HDTV with HD Cable and a DVD Player. This room has a king bed with en suite bathroom fitted with a pocket door for privacy between the large shower with teak spa bench and the whirlpool tub from which you can see Destin Pointe. A master balcony overlooks the pool with glimpses of the Gulf.  This porch has a love seat, coffee table and rocking chair serving as a great place to escape with a good book.

Two additional guest bedrooms access another full bath down the hall from the master.  This bathroom has plenty of robe hooks, towel rods, cabinets and drawers for a family to share.
The first guest room has a queen bed, chest of drawers, TV and access to the Family Porch which stretches the entire front of the home.  

The second guest room has a twin over double bunk bed with an additional twin trundle underneath, a small chest of drawers, a TV and access to the Family Porch.  The top bunk has a built-in bed rail.  The bunk room closet is stocked with a removable bed rail for the lower double bed and a pack and play for even younger guests.  Each level of the bunk bed has its own individually controlled floor lamp to enjoy bedtime stories before lights out.  

The shared Family Porch on the front of the home is furnished with a boho swinging chair and two lounge chairs with side table outside the kids’ room French doors.  A New Orleans style café table and chairs is outside the parent’s room.  It will be a favorite place for the entire family to view the sunset.  Enjoy great views of the grounds of Destin Pointe and one of Destin Pointe’s lakes.

On the top floor is the Loft with a queen bed, TV and crisp white wicker furniture.  This cozy nook has a wraparound crow’s nest balcony for a panoramic view of Destin Pointe, its coastal lakes, partial views of the Gulf and the pass.

In addition to these family friendly features the home also includes step stools for the sinks, booster seat, high chair, baby monitor, rainy day cabinet of games, puzzles and children’s books, and a garage full of beach and pool toys.  The home is equipped with wireless internet and premium cable TV service.

Private beach access is less than a 5-minute walk over the boardwalk.  Two pools, two tennis courts and shuffleboard are available year-round.  Seasonal trolley service and beachside set-up of two chairs and an umbrella is included with the rental of the home.
