I would rate this place 2 1/2 stars. The floors were terrible when we got there, after walking around for an hour our feet were black. There were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher and also dirty clothes and dodo boxers were left in the drawers. Wasn’t any dishwasher tabs as well. We went ahead and bought our own cleaning supplies to clean the place and it was missing a few other things. The owner was very commutative and apologized and I don’t think any of it was his fault, I believe the issues were do to other reasoning. The ac was struggling throughout the day and needs to be addressed as well. The place is in a great location, and I believe it will be a great place to stay once the issues get handled

From the owner: "Thank you for your review. We follow a detailed cleaning checklist and a final manager walkthrough before every arrival. The floors were cleaned prior to your stay. We check in with every guest on the first day. No concerns about the floors or cleanliness were raised at that time. When the issue was mentioned later, we offered to re-clean, and the offer was declined. With about eight people staying, dirt can be tracked in, and we cannot fix problems reported only at the end of day two. The previous guests left no dirty dishes in the dishwasher, confirmed by three people at their checkout. We take feedback seriously and work to maintain high standards for every stay."

The house is very nice, and very close to town. The beds are very comfortable, there’s tvs in every room, has a nice traeger grill on the deck. We enjoyed our stay very much

Perfect for a fishing weekend

Great place for a small family or a couple guys getting away for a weekend fishing trip. Very close to a ramp and covered boat storage.

Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at this cottage during scalloping season and had a fantastic experience. The location couldn’t be better, just a short drive to the marina. The cottage was spotless and smelled fresh and clean as soon as we walked in. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in the area.

Fabulous stay!!

We absolutely loved staying at this property! This place was fabulous! It was so clean and spacious! It was in a great area and near everything! We highly recommend this rental, and I have already told several of my friends about it that also go to Steinhatchee! We will be going back!

Everything went great with the property from checkin to checkout. The location was perfect. The owner even let us check in a day early! We were there for a large family scalloping trip and were spread out across town. The folks that stayed here said it was a beautiful home and everyone had their own space.

Great Stay. Place was just what we wanted. Would definitely stay there again. My boat was too large to fit under the house but the lot next door was fine. 4x4 required to use the lot next door due to the sand. One thing I really appreciated was the communication with the owners. Nothing left to guess or figure out. Very straightforward and timely communication.

Disappointed

Garbage in one of the bathrooms. Bedspread in master was wet and had some nasty gel on it. Sheets in second bedroom smelled so stong of bleach made eyes water. Had issue with lock and TV. Garbage can outside was overflowing with garbage when we arrived.

After reviewing your comments, the homeowner wanted to address the following points:- You requested an early check-in, which we couldn’t accommodate due to a same-day turnover. Despite this, you arrived early, and we apologize for the trash can in one of the rooms not being emptied before your arrival.- The front door lock was a new smart lock, and the battery unexpectedly ran low. This was addressed and resolved promptly on the same day.- Regarding the TV, it was confirmed as a user error, and we’re glad the instructions helped resolve the issue.- Trash pickup was scheduled for Monday, which is why the outdoor garbage can was full upon your arrival.- We’ve discussed the bleach smell with our cleaning team and will evaluate whether adjustments need to be made to ensure a comfortable experience for future guests.- We maintain a strict cleaning checklist, but unfortunately, we missed the dried-on detergent gel spot on the bedspread. This has since been addressed with our cleaning team.- After checking in with you, we understand the trash and bedspread issues weren’t brought up. Please know we would have been happy to resolve them had they been mentioned during your stay.Thank you again for your feedback. It helps us improve and deliver a better experience for all our guests.
