Villa Moon Dance is a delightful home, offering quintessential Plantation style architecture along with impeccably styled interiors - a luminescent and vibrant home finessed with flawless comfort levels.

The immaculate white façade showcases classic colonial style; symmetrical structure with Art Deco gable and lattice-work balustrades with pillared veranda and balconies. Entering Moon Dance, through the secure electric gates, is like entering an oasis of tropical greenery along with sublime serenity and style, where no detail is left under-thought.

With almost two acres of landscaped gardens, guests have ultimate seclusion, whilst being moments from the iconic Sandy Lane hotel, golf course, beach and amenities. Mature trees in landscaped gardens nestle with vibrant, tropical plants and swaying palms, whilst the beautiful Japanese mosaic pool is a majestic sight when illuminated at night. The pool side is punctuated with elegant loungers and a pretty pergola, whilst the al fresco dining area is the ultimate chic spot for a leisurely lunch or refreshing post swim breakfast; decked out with characteristic wicker, and pastel aqua tones, indoor and outdoor living interplay seamlessly.

The main house comprises four double bedrooms, each with a state-of-the-art en-suite, whilst the self-contained cottage has a two further bedrooms, making this home ideal for families travelling in tandem, couples wanting privacy or families with grandparents or au pair.

What you should know

Four bedrooms are located in the main house, and two are in a self contained cottage (worth bearing in mind for younger children’s needs)
Children are welcome - but under six year olds should be accompanied by a nanny or carer at all times
Pool is unfenced, and jacuzzi pool is not suitable for babies or toddlers
The whole villa may only be available for bookings at full capacity

Location

The beautiful Sandy Lane beach is just a few minutes away (less than 0.5 mile) from Moon Dance, and guests have Membership to the Sandy Lane Property Owners Beach Facility with parking, restrooms and sun loungers & shades will be provided free of charge by friendly staff. There is a drinks and snacks facility during peak seasons.

The villa faces west and overlooks the eighth hole of the famous Sandy Lane golf course. With access to tennis courts and gym facilities, Moon Dance is opposite the The Sandy Lane Hotel and has access to the Sandy Lane Property Owner’s Beach Facility.

This stretch of the West Coast of Barbados is known as the “platinum coast” for its pristine beaches and turquoise waters. Despite this region being developed with high-end hotels and stately private residences to an international jet-set, its coast remains one of the most beautiful Barbados has to offer. With the recent development of extensive boardwalks, visitors can enjoy spectacular sunset strolls with the glittering sea as their companion.

The Sandy Lane Hotel is an iconic spot drawing a star-studded clientele, whilst Sandy Lane Beach in St James is one of the region’s finest beaches. Ideal for swimming, and snorkelling, tropical sea life and sea turtles can be spotted, whilst opportunities for kayaking and paddle boarding are abundant.

Moon Dance is ideally positioned, offering both tranquil seclusion as well as being within walking distance to the prestigious Sandy Lane Golf Course and the Limegrove Lifestyle Centre which comprises upscale boutiques, spas and fine dining.

Within close proximity to Moon Dance, visitors can enjoy the fine culinary art at Tides Restaurant for something a little special, or Zaccios for informal pizza lunches with the kids. The west coast offers everything from rum cocktails at the bar to Thai cuisine or local Bajan fare. A culinary experience here takes influences from African, Caribbean, West Indian and European gastronomy for something a little unique. Known for its rum tradition, started circa 370 years ago, the island is brimming with tours of the world’s oldest rum.

Holetown, a few kilometres further south, is brimming with local flavour and Bajan traditions, as well as duty free shopping and local commerce in the Chattel town.

Barbados offers so much for family travellers. At only 21 miles by 14 miles, with 60 miles of pristine coastline, days at the beach as a family are the centre of a Bajan holiday.

From intriguing caves, to mystical gardens, from vibrant street-fare to formal polo matches - genteel cricket matches and colourful street crafts, Barbados offers a unique experience for youngsters which will captivate small imaginations for years to come.

Moon Dance offers proximity to some of the most child friendly beaches. Mullins Beach is a good option for kids with tranquil seas and long sandy stretches for sand-castle building whilst adults will enjoy rum punch from their rented parasols or older kids will indulge in water sports.

Barbados offers a mystical experience for youngsters; one of the island’s traditions of swimming horses at dawn will leave exquisite memories for kids to cherish, and wildlife from tortoises to parrots to brocket deer will intrigue youngsters.

For older kids, Bridgetown offers several tours of intriguing shipwrecks, tropical fish and coral formations. Or, a combination of 4x4 jeep tour through tropical forest followed by a leisurely catamaran trip for a full family day out, finished up with sumptuous buffet at the end of the day.
