Remodeled 3 bedroom home located in the SE corner of Minnesota in the small historic Mississippi River town of Brownsville, just off State Hwy 26 in the Driftless Region. The home is a short 13 miles from La Crosse, WI, New Albin, Iowa or Caledonia, MN which makes it centrally located in the region and a convenient place to stay while enjoying local attractions or events. Visitors enjoy fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, boating, biking, entertainment at local establishments, observing swan and eagles at the Brownsville overlook or just hanging out with friends or family. While spending time on the Mississippi river, this property is close to river access points and has plenty of parking space to accommodate your boat and trailer. During winter months, crafting groups enjoy gathering with friends and is also a great place to stay while ice fishing in the area.

Dahl Auto Museum and Houston County Historical Society are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Children's Museum of La Crosse and Oktoberfest Grounds. Shenanigans Entertainment Center & Sports Bar and Riverside Amusement Park are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Group of Fisherman

Great stay in Brownsville with a group of friends coming into town for a fishing tournament. House was clean and well stocked with everything needed. 3 trucks / bass boats fit without issue and a short drive to the ramps used on the river. Check in was smooth and we were walked through everything we needed to know. Would stay here again should events bring us back to the area.

Comfortable house and great location!

The beds and living room were very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the view was beautiful. We enjoyed going down to the river/beach, which was just a few minutes away. Wonderful visit and we hope to stay here again!

Fishing trip

We couldn’t have asked for ANYTHING better!!! This place and it’s owners were absolutely amazing. I loved this home away from home. I highly recommend it!!!!!
