Interesting HHI visit
Rating Details:
The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.
I was very happy with the location.
I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

This was our 6th visit to HHI and the least enjoyable unfortunately. The major issue at this rental was the cockroaches. On Day 1 I killed one at bedtime. From there on I was incredibly grossed out, watched the floor as I walked around, and was concerned more would be found. The next morning our family found 2 dead ones under the couch. There is a saying if you find 1, there’s definitely more around. We were traveling with a toddler who finds himself playing on the floor with his toys which made me very concerned about the cleanliness of the rental. On the final night I killed another cockroach. Six stays, and not one time did we deal with this. Absolutely disgusting. The AC unit in the rental also does not properly function. The 3rd floor wouldn’t cool down below 80 (and on the final day just turned off all together), the second thermostat we had to set all the way down to 65 but never even got down to that temperature (most likely like 75), and made it incredibly uncomfortable to sleep. Maintenance was polite when speaking to them on the phone about a different issue. They called and told me in advance of our stay the dryer was broken so we brought plenty of extra clothes. It turned out the washer knob was broken instead. On Day 3 someone arrived to fix it while we were out which I was informed about that morning. When we arrived back to the rental for my toddlers nap, the worker was in the main level bathroom. When he came out my toddler needed to use the restroom in which the worker responded to me “oh mam I was just in there and strongly advise you don’t.” How incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable. The home was very recently purchased and is in need of basic updates like outlets where your plugs don’t fall out of, closet doors that close, and absolutely a deep cleaning. We survived this trip but I cannot say I could recommend this rental with good conscience to others.
