Great house and location. Kitchen was stocked with everything that you would need. Enjoyed the big deck with rocking chairs. The beds were comfortable.

Summer Salt was wonderful! Walking directly onto the beach was amazing. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked for my professional chef brother. I would definitely stay here again!

Location was great and right on the beach as advertised. Nice quiet area with private beach access. Shallow and relatively calm waves. Great for kids. House was in nice condition. Spiral staircase upstairs and downstairs was a bit cumbersome but we made the best of it. Parking under house and in front of house was plenty of room for us. We had a fun family birthday celebration

We loved our stay at Summer Salt! The hosts were great to work with and the house was perfect. We loved how close it was to the beach! We would definitely rent again.

Great Family Vacation

Beautiful home, couldn’t ask for a better place to go on vacation with my family. Owner was very responsive and the post describing the house was very accurate. Highly recommend.

The house is in a great location, private access to beach was a definite perk. The house is very clean and the kitchen well stocked. The hosts were very attentive and responded to all emails quickly. Only slight issue for my group of 65 year old women was the spiral staircase.

2024 Cunningham Family Vacation

We loved the week. Everything was perfect! The house was well stocked and very roomy for our family. We loved the porch and how close we were to the beach! We will definitely be back! The owners were very easy to reach with all my questions!

Beach heaven!

My family loved their stay at “Summer Salt”! We loved being SO close to the beach. Even my elderly father was able to make it to the water to sit and cool his feet. The stairs to the top level are a little tricky but didn’t bother us. Haag and sons fish market is great and we really enjoyed taking the Fisher island ferry for a day trip to the aquarium and into Wilmington.

October 2025…Just as beautiful in the fall. The weather was perfect ranging from 75 to 70. It was my mom‘s 81st birthday. This was the first time we all vacation together. The host responded timely to our questions. The beachfront house was lovely inside and out. The beach views were beyond our expectation. The beds were very comfortable. It was sad to say goodbye. From this, we promise to do something once a year together. Thank you Summer Salt!!!

Super responsive hosts!

Responsive hosts when we had questions. We had a minor faucet issue and the hosts immediately called in a great handyman to take care of the issue. This is a well cared for property in a perfectly glorious spot of Oak Island! I loved the stocked kitchen, spacious bedrooms and light-filled living room /main room.

It was a great house except for the staircase. The staircase was a little challenging. You really had to be careful.
