It was a little further than I expected from Bear Mountain but overall the house ended up being the perfect place for us to stay.

We had a great time at the Big Bear Home. It was close to town and the lake. The home was well appointed and in great condition!

This cabin is a perfect place for a family get away. Communication with the host and property manager was thorough and speedy. We enjoyed all the property had to offer, sunsets on the porch with the fire table, family foosball and arcade game competitions, meals from the barbecue, and relaxing in the hot tub. Our family fully enjoyed the stay!

The house worked for our trip perfectly. We didn’t use the hot tub but did BBQ and played some of games they had available. We spent time in the village and went for walks to the lake. Very good 2 day getaway.

Super cute and clean. All the creature comforts we needed to hide out and relax together before the holiday madness. Coffee bar was an added bonus for early risers.

Broken/Not Working Amenities 419 Castella Lane, Big Bear Lake, Ca 92315Reservation ID HA-13DDJ5 – August 18 to August 27, 2026The master bedroom, left-door bottom lock that goes into the floor is broken. The top lock is functional. The door screen is compromised, and our cat could escape to the balcony. The master bedroom balcony is covered with bat guano (poop). Several bats have taken up residence under the eave. Recommend contacting the Department of Wildlife to have bats moved – they may be an endangered species. The locking mechanism on the locks and handles on the master bedroom door to the balcony need attention. All the screws are loose.The house WIFI system needs to be upgraded. It is not usable. Very frustrating.Your Guest Book needs to be updated. How to open the living room window, mentioning that the Disposal Facility that’s three miles from the house is closed. There were ants coming from behind the sofa the first day of our stay. Ants were coming from the back of the deck furniture two-days later. The outdoor cushions were covered with bat guano.The ice maker and cold water dispenser didn't function. For a "Newly Remodeled" property, the state of the home was shocking. Your amenities should work. There shouldn't be no ants or bats. Are there health concerns with this property?Thank you.

Great family fun

We had such a great time and the cabin was so cute. The kids loves the foosball table and the Pac-Man and they were even able to do some sledding right outside the cabin. We will definitely come back.

Overall a great experience! Nice, modern cabin in great shape. Easy to check in and get inside the place. We even got to check in a little early! The property manager was very nice and always available if we had questions. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook, bake, bbq, etc. Nice Weber grill on the deck. The jacuzzi was great as well! Its about a 25 minute walk to the village through the nice neighborhood. Cant wait to come back!
