Lake front stay

The location was everything we hoped for there were a few issues with the stay just some overall cleanliness issues and after we use the upstairs bathroom and shower the downstairs bathroom on the main suites started to smell like sewer gas

Great location

Great location, close to shops and restaurants and the dock was nice because we rented a boat for 2 days and docked it overnight. We really loved this property and overall it was really well kept. There were 2 slight improvements we would suggest and that is a quick sweep through before renters arrive to deal with any spiders that have made their way in. And the second suggestion is to make sure everything in the kitchen is put away clean, there were pans next to the oven that were put away very dirty by a previous guest (an easy miss because it is a tiny cabinet). Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Lakeside relaxation

We had a very nice time at this townhouse. It was clean but not well maintained. The doors were very hard to open. There was not a vacuum on the property and we would have been happy to vacuum during our stay. On the plus side It is much closer to the lake than pictured. It was very relaxing sitting on the boat dock and we had kayaks that we launched from the shore. Our dog loved swimming there too.

Great Family Spot for Short Weekend

Scenic Solitude was a great choice for staying with two small kids. It was a great space for a family of four. The hot tub is in excellent condition, and having access to the Lakewood Resort Complex pool is a dream! But just know it's across the main street - we don't recommend walking. The kitchen was very nice and had new appliances. There are plenty of TVs, games and the Game Room in the lofted area was a nice surprise! The unit was pet friendly and tidy - you would not have known there were previously other dogs in the place. My family and I agreed that we would choose to stay here again, but probably only for shorter durations. The house does need some updating - while we were told not to light a fire in the fireplace, the neighbors in the adjoining condo had a fire going all weekend and it filled our unit with smoke and wood fire smell. It was honestly like we were camping, but worse because it was all throughout the condo and recycled by the heating. If you do bring a pet, it is a muddy/slippery walk down to the flatter area of the yard. The owners have not waterproofed the upper deck above the hot tub, so if it's raining, the rain just drips down on you, that wasn't pleasant. The bathrooms were probably the worst part - they were very outdated and rusty. The main level bathroom sink was unusable because it leaked out the bottom where it connected to the sink top.

You certainly should have been allowed to use the fireplace. We extend our sincere apologies that incorrect information was communicated during your stay. We’ve talked to the property management team to ensure they know that guests can use the fireplace. Next time, if the neighbors are using their fireplace, you can certainly close the back door to the unit and turn on the ceiling fans to keep the property smoke-free! Based on your feedback, step stones have been placed outside to allow guests to walk out back without slipping. Also, we are in the midst of many exciting updates to this property. Since your visit, the kitchen cabinets were painted and there have been minor bathroom updates. Basement flooring will be replaced this week (April 13, 2023) and granite counters are going in next month (May 2023). A major bathroom renovation is on the schedule as well. Finally, I’ve asked the maintenance crew to fix the leak in the main-level bathroom. Thanks again for the helpful feedback!
