Beautiful getaway

We enjoyed our weekend in this scenic cottage. It was especially fun feeding the goats and baby pigs! The owners were exceptionally accommodating and kind. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to friends & family. Loved it!

Attending a Wedding in Back Forest

This is a gem of a comfortable, stylishly decorated, and homey small home with a very modern and roomy kitchen and gas fireplace. We did not take advantage of the outside patios because we stayed in December, but we can see how the outside spaces would add to the experience. It sounds as if this property was built as a space for the parents of one of the owners, so it is both roomy (with two bedrooms) and compact enough to maintain. For us, the location of the wedding we attended was less than a mile up the road. Also, this would be a very convenient location to any USAFA functions. We noted that this property did not seem to be available when our children attended USAFA, and if it was, it would have been far superior to any chain hotels we used in the past. The only question we had was that the listed noted a whirlpool/hot tub, which we did not see and we assumed that it is only operational in warmer months, and was not in the bathrooms spaces. Also, Black Forest is still a small community and to get to supermarkets, Walmarts, restaurants, etc, still takes a little bit of a drive. So, stock before arriving for the large refrigerator and well-appointed kitchen. Overall, highly recommended for families.

Nesting in place

We came to the Monument area to visit family for Christmas. That was very enjoyable, but this VRBO site made the trip truly memorable. Titled 'the Nest ' it's tucked away in a forest landscape on the hostessess' property but not attached. They have sheep and goats to feed. We were snowbound for 24 hours but it was pleasant to slow down . I recommend the Nest highly
