Una pittoresca casa di città - Huntley Lodge fa parte di un'originale caserma dei pompieri risalente al 1812 - adiacente a Lodge Alley - uno stretto vicolo di ciottoli che collega la storica East Bay Street e State Street, che secondo quanto riferito è il sito di ben 50 duelli.

Godetevi il vostro cortile privato (recintato e recintato). We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The place was clean, nicely decorated, and had such a charming feel. We had plenty of room for everyone, and the beds were very comfortable.The location was wonderful—we could easily walk to carriage rides, great restaurants, and the market, where we enjoyed some shopping. The parking lot was a bit of a walk away, but not too far and definitely manageable. Just be careful about parking on the street out front, as you can get a ticket if you go over the one-hour parking limit.We had a fantastic time in Charleston and would definitely recommend staying here. We would happily come back!

Perfect Charleston Getaway – Clean, Convenient, and Beautifully LocatedWe stayed over Labor Day weekend and could not have asked for a better home base in Charleston. The place was incredibly clean and came with every amenity we needed for a comfortable, low-stress stay.The courtyard felt very safe, and we loved the view of the fountain. Inside, everything was new and well thought out: modern appliances, a convenient washer and dryer (detergent included), and big TVs. The beds were very comfortable, the showers were immaculate, and the kitchen and eating area felt welcoming after a day of walking. The décor was tasteful throughout.Location is a huge plus. Some of Charleston’s top restaurants are just steps away on the same block, and the rest of the city is an easy walk. You’re also right by Waterfront Park—the pineapple fountain and the wadable fountain with spray jets for the kids are close enough to enjoy without planning a whole outing.The owners were incredibly responsive, which made the whole stay even smoother.We can’t recommend this place enough for a Charleston vacation. We’ll be back.

The location of this very nice place is fabulous! Very near the restaurants, market, and waterfront. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance! The property itself is really nice. 2.5 baths meant never having to wait. And really nice showers! The beds are very comfortable. Plenty of drawers and closets if you don't like living out of a suitcase. You have a private patio, but also access to a shared courtyard with a fountain - lovely! Walk through the courtyard and you're right by Magnolia, High Cotton etc. Excellent!

The home was historic, beautiful and as described. It is in the perfect location to enjoy the city by foot. The parking was as described and easy to access. The kitchen was small and not extremely well equipped. But it was not a problem for us as we were within a few minute walk time to many wonderful places to eat including many recommended in the travel guides. We found it ideal for 2 couples traveling together and would highly recommend 46-E Huntley Lodge!

Sonny and Dean Huntley have loved downtown Charleston for as long as they can remember. Native South Carolinians who've been visiting the area their whole lives, they are fortunate to own a small piece of Lowcountry history in Huntley Lodge.

The goal was simple: a place to gather with their three adult daughters and extended family and friends, whether for a relaxed weekend getaway or a holiday spent together downtown. Sonny and Dean live in Hilton Head, and every visit to Charleston feels like a treat — a chance to slow down and soak up everything the Holy City has to offer.

They're delighted to share Huntley Lodge with guests visiting Charleston.

We are in the real estate and interior design businesses in Hilton Head. There is a limited amount of property like "Huntley Lodge" in the historic French Quarter area of downtown Charleston, and we found this opportunity irresistible. The location is second to none...you can park your car (or not even have one!) and never get back in it given the multitude of shops, restaurants, galleries that are all around you. The ambiance, history, and access to everything downtown Charleston has to offer are truly unparalleled. You can take in a performance at the iconic Dock Street Theater, have a world class dinner and stroll the storied Battery before following the cobble stoned streets back to Huntley Lodge.

Lodge Alley is a perfect blend of the old and the new. The townhome has been recently renovated so you can enjoy the modern updates inside or you can spend some time in the private, gated courtyard. Just a few steps away is larger outdoor area with a beautiful fountain and flickering gaslight lanterns. and the luxury of the townhome itself is evident from the moment you step inside. There are no less than 50 quality restaurants within a one to 10 minute stroll from your Huntley Lodge front door. You can have all the privacy you want or you can be part of the magic that is the French Quarter - or both! You certainly don’t need a vehicle while staying here but should you have one we provide free garage parking just a 4 minute walk away.
