With artful and eclectic touches throughout, you will have a great experience in the historic House and a Half -walking distance to Annapolis sites & fun. Inquire about long term rental.

The Annapolis House and a Half is an historic house built in 1920. As you’d expect from being 100 years old, she is not perfect and has some crooked lines but she’s solid, beautiful, and unique with charming accents throughout. The house is a easy 6 -7 minute walk to West St restaurants and shops and a 10-13 minutes walk to Main St, downtown and the City Dock. And just two blocks from the Naval Stadium.
Downstairs is the completely renovated kitchen with new appliances and all the cooking utensils and equipment you’ll need to prepare meals at home if you choose to take a break from all the amazing restaurants so close to you.
And the coffee and espresso bar is great, especially since we provide pods for the espresso machine… perfect for that afternoon pick-me-up.

The convenient half bath is just off the kitchen.

The ‘Half House’ is the entry room with a fireplace (decorative only) comfortable lounge chairs and elegant decor and art. Perfect for lounging with a glass of wine after a day of touring the town.
Then, through the large doorway is the dining and living area. Two large sofas and a 50” Smart TV with streaming Prime and Netflix makes a great place to chill and watch a movie or catch up on your favorite series.

There is seating for four at the large pine table, great size for meals or games or conversation about all the great things you discovered in historic Annapolis.

Upstairs are the two bedrooms and full bathroom. The front bedroom, the ‘Blue Room’ has a queen bed, with 100% cotton sheets, nightstands, a dresser and a wardrobe to store your clothes while you enjoy your stay.
The back bedroom, the ‘Gypsy Room’ also has a queen bed, with 100% cotton sheets, with two nightstands, a large dresser and a closet for your clothes and to store your luggage.
You will love the new bathroom, so sleek and stylish, with a fully tiled walk in shower and a huge open cabinet for all your hygiene items.
We provide bath towels, hand towels and wash clothes plus shampoo and soap for a your first shower. One less thing to pack. Yes!

And you will absolutely adore our back courtyard. So quiet, private and peaceful with seating for four plus two Adirondack chairs to lounge in while enjoying the landscape and birds chirping. The courtyard is one of our favorite places to chill and talk. You’ll love it!

Annapolis is such a fantastic town, so full of history, art , culture and yes lots of restaurants and shops.
But don’t miss going to the museums or checking out the Naval academy tour.
We know you will have a fantastic time in this amazing town and the Annapolis House and a Half will be your perfect home base for all your walking adventures.

bad neighborhood and needed a cleaning!
The check in process was ideal. No issues. The decor is exactly as pictured, and it was very cute. Had most home items anyone would need. I did need to buy a hairdryer thinking it would have one as it is a pretty standard item. Sinks were dirty. Stove top was dusty. Hair on pillow cases and towels. There is a problem with ants on kitchen counter. All of the above I could have overlooked because there were cleaning supplies in the house, but the neighborhood was shady. Half a block away there were young adults hanging outside a house 24/7 doing questionable activity. We drove to the nearby downtown area just to avoid walking in the neighborhood.

Informazioni sull’host

Host: Eric and Kathleen Favier

Immagine del profilo dell’host
I owned Chez Pierre restaurant in Tallahassee for 20+ years and now live on a boat, currently docked in Melbourne, FL, enjoying life, beauty and love. Along with my wife, Kathleen, we love to travel and discover new adventures and experiences. We are living on our Navigator 4800 MY and working our way slowly through the Great Loop. We are hosts to three properties, two in Carrabelle, FL and one in Annapolis, MD. We love hosting people from all over the world and sharing our homes and love of the areas with them. Each of our properties have unique features and we do our best to make them special, comfortable and memorable for our guests. We want them to be more than a bed and a roof.... We want our properties to be experiences .... places to make lasting memories for each guest whom we are honored to host.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

The House and a Half is part of an older, urban downtown neighborhood steeped in history and culture.
It sits on a quiet residential block in a culturally diverse, urban neighborhood. We find this older, eclectic and multi-cultural neighborhood a real and refreshing place. Here you will find all races, colors and types of people, making it a very interesting and unique place to visit. It’s an urban and diverse neighborhood for sure, but we feel it’s as safe as any city or downtown neighborhood. No, it’s not the suburbs, but we have very kind neighbors next to us and across the street. And there are lots of families. And lots of colors. If this doesn’t sound like your kind of neighborhood, you might want to try another listing.
But if you appreciate different people and cultures, and want to be able to walk to downtown Annapolis, please give our house and neighborhood a try.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

Our house has character and history...she has stood for over 100 years...and as you’d expect from being 100 years old, she is not perfect and has some crooked lines and leans a bit, but she’s solid, beautiful, and unique with charming accents throughout.
We have collected many pieces of art through the years and you will see many of them throughout the House and a Half. Original, unique and colorful... our decor reflects our style...artful and eclectic. Stepping into our house, you will feel welcome and warm with a sense of serenity and calm. The perfect place to relax, unwind and prepare for your fantastic visit to downtown Annapolis and all that awaits you there.
The house is a easy 6 -7 minute walk to West St restaurants and shops and a 10-13 minutes walk to Main St, downtown and the City Dock. And just two blocks from the Naval Stadium.
