The house and host were amazing! Truly a unique gem of a place. Pictures do not do it justice! Host, Michaela, was great with communication and accommodation. We love this place and can’t wait to go back!

Just a stellar property in every way. The setting is amazing - beautiful water views in three directions (with a lot to watch every day), easy and walkable access to 3-4 restaurants and the island general store - and the layout combines family space with room for privacy as well. The outside spaces, including the deck right next to the water, got extensive use and both the sunrises and sunsets were stunning. Have stayed in dozens of properties, and this is right at the top of the list. Only slight critique would be that, like many beach houses, you have well water and we ended up buying bottled water and distilled for the coffeemaker. Could not more highly recommend.

Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful Harpswell home! The property was incredibly clean and well fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable week away. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, play games, and relax. The peaceful coastal charm and stunning views made our vacation truly memorable. We would love to come back again and highly recommend this rental to any family looking for a classic Maine getaway!"

Sunrise. Sunset. A visual delight in every direction. On a peninsula, a stone’s throw from a lobster restaurant, lies this wonderful home. Sofas with views. Sofas to have conversations. Tables with views. Lots of living space to enjoy experiencing the Maine coast without leaving home. There are bits of downsides — the bathrooms are only three in number and all across the hall, the “glassware” is cloudy plastic ware, and we encountered a couple of upkeep issues. The upsides way outweigh the downsides. Experiencing the coast of Maine could not be better. Sunrise, sunset, and beautiful views in every direction. Set on a peninsula just a stone’s throw from a lobster restaurant, this wonderful home is an ideal place to experience the Maine coast. There are sofas positioned for enjoying the views, comfortable spaces for conversation, tables overlooking the water, and plenty of room to relax without ever leaving the house.There are a few minor drawbacks: the three bathrooms are all located across the hall from the bedrooms, the “glassware” consists of cloudy plastic cups, and we encountered a couple of maintenance issues.Still, the many positives far outweigh these small inconveniences. It would be difficult to find a better place from which to enjoy the beauty of coastal Maine.

Stunning home in Bailey Harbor

This home is truly 'as advertised '. Our three adult children (and their significant others) gathered here for 7 days, to celebrate my wife's birthday. The home is stunning, the views are remarkable, and our hosts were gracious.

We had a great stay in this fabulous property. It meet all our expectations. The beds were very comfortable for a group of seniors who can be critical at times.

wonderful views from every room

obviously brand new! Wonderful views from every room and the decks! Very tastefully decorated while still family friendly! Location for sightseeing, eating out, etc., etc., was perfect.

Perfect Maine spot

We loved our stay at the flying lobster. The location was fantastic. The house is perfectly appointed with incredible views out every single window. It would go back in a heartbeat and hope to.

We rented the house to get our family together for a week, six adults, four pre-teens. The house was comfortable and clean with great views of the water. It was easy to come together for meals and gathering, but large enough for people to have time alone. One note: the house is rated for 10 guests, but the dining table has 8 chairs, so we brought 2 folding chairs from home.
