Acadia Yurts offre ai visitatori il modo più unico di soggiornare a Mount Desert Island. Sette divertenti yurte ecologiche e due minuscole case ti avvicinano alla natura come il campeggio, con tutti i comfort di casa. Situato su 5 acri di incantevole terra boscosa, circondato dalla proprietà del Parco Nazionale di Acadia, Acadia Yurts offre un rifugio tranquillo per il tuo gruppo (fino a 4 ospiti per 24 'Yurta, 6 ospiti per 30' Yurta o 2 ospiti per Piccola Casa). Acadia Yurts è ideale anche per gruppi numerosi che viaggiano con alloggi per un massimo di 34 persone su 1 sito.

Una yurta è una struttura circolare in tessuto simile a una tenda con una struttura in legno reticolare che ha avuto origine tra le tribù nomadi in Asia. Queste strutture permanenti e colorate hanno pareti esterne in tela spessa che includono isolamento riflettente e una pompa di calore / unità AC ad alta efficienza in modo da poter stare comodo in ogni stagione. Le yurte stanno rapidamente diventando una nuova esperienza di vacanza che i vacanzieri stanno godendo in tutti gli Stati Uniti dalle viste sulla scogliera in California alle baite in Colorado. Questo è un posto memorabile in cui soggiornare mentre ti godi la bellezza di Acadia!

The Maine Vacation of our Dreams!

This truly was the perfect getaway. Our first (but not last) visit to Acadia and the Yurt was the best way to experience it! Aaron and Karen were so communicative and informative, checking in, and giving us info that we wanted about the area! We’ll be back for sure and can’t recommend Acadia Yurts enough!

It’s like you’re in the middle of nature. Great first impression! I was pleasantly surprised by the water pressure too! Too bad I didn’t have time to utilize the wellness center. I just might have to come back!

Great place!

The listing was accurate and location very convenient to visit Acadia National Park. It was so helpful to have the kitchen with our young kids, we also enjoy the board games from the common barn and even managed to join one of the yoga class.

Absolutely amazing!

The yurt was fabulous for 3 adults and one child, age 12. It had everything we needed for our stay, and the little red barn offered extras if you need something outside of the norm like coffee filters, spices, umbrellas, laundry detergent, games, etc. There was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable while inside. The picnic table and grill was a nice touch outside. I also loved the earplugs and eye masks and coffee station. Both beds were super comfortable. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the firepit one evening and made s'mores. The skylight was super cool, too! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone! Thank you for helping me ro enjoy Maine a little more !

We loved it here.

We loved our yurt. It was surprisingly spacious and had everything we needed. It was very comfortable and we didn’t have any problems. The whole property was well kept. The proprietors were very nice. We also loved the sauna, massage and float. We would definitely stay here again.

Great long weekend outside Acadia

The yurt was very comfortable and clean. Property in a good location close to the park but removed from the crowds of Bar Harbor, which gives it a great remote feeling. Necessities are just down the road in SW Harbor. Aaron and Karen were incredibly nice and accommodating the entire time. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay near Acadia!

Staying at Acadia Yurts is a wonderful experience! You feel submerged in nature but are conveniently located to explore all of MDI. The hosts were wonderful to work with. We highly recommend!

Great escape

We loved our yurt and the solitude of the location. We were close to town and Acadia, but once we got back to our yurt, we enjoyed the remoteness of the location. It was the perfect size and had all amenities we needed. We slept like a baby, especially the night it rained.

Amazing experience!

Our stay at the Arcadia Yurts was amazing! The Yurt and grounds were beautiful, and Aaron and Karen were wonderful hosts, checking in to make sure we had everything we need. We'll definitely be returning for a longer stay!

We had the best week at MDI! There is so much to do and see. We loved staying in our yurt. Acadia Yurts is clean, comfortable and relaxing. Everything you need in a quiet and beautiful place. Loved the sky light! We would definitely go back!

Just about perfect

Wonderful location. Charming and super clean yurt and camp area. Hosts are really on it. If only it was possible to have a local vs group campfire it would have been perfectly perfect.

Exceeded our expectations

The yurts are extremely clean and cozy. We had everything we needed and loved waking up to the view of trees and sky in our skylight. It is so quiet and peaceful, no noisy campers everyone is respectful of the peaceful wooded location.

Acadia Yurts offered an excellent location to many of Mt Desert natural attractions. The property was pristine condition. It is a great place to relax and enjoy Acadia .

Favorite getaway

My husband and I have been to Acadia Yurts 3 different years now, it’s such a beautiful and peaceful getaway, and we love the beauty of Acadia! Aaron and Karen are fabulous hosts amd wonderful people. They are available to help whether you forgot to print your park pass beforehand or you’re looking for a new trail to try out. We truly love our time there and look forward to returning in years to come!

Idyllic experience

We had an amazing experience at Acadia Yurts. Loved being able to be so close to nature while still being able to enjoy modern kitchen and bathroom facilities. Also the community barn was a very cool feature. Would recommend to anyone coming to this area!

We chose to stay here as something different than a hotel, and we were not disappointed. The entire experience was enjoyable and our only complaint was that we weren't able to stay longer.

Informazioni sull’host

Host: Karen Roper

Aaron is an Maine native. He was born and raised across the bridge in Trenton and grew up attending local Bar Harbor schools. He has worked in the restaurant industry for the past 15+ years beginning as a prep cook in high school then moving toward general manager. Aaron's favorite extracurricular activity is learning all he can about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As often as he can, he trains locally and loves sharing this passion with others.

Karen is a transplant. Originally from Chicago she made her way to Maine in 2009 and fell in love immediately. In Acadia she enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, and long walks on the carriage roads. Karen has been teaching yoga locally for over 6 years and now brings her practice to the Wellness Center (located on site at Acadia Yurts). Karen is also a licensed massage therapist and offers services onsite.

As a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling and through that we have narrowed down the particular way we like to travel. The biggest factor for us is having a furnished kitchen in order to prepare health minded foods to nourish our bodies and support all our outdoor activities. The idea for Acadia Yurts has been brewing for quite some time. Friends of ours live off the grid in a yurt and we greatly appreciate the rustic, romantic feel of the yurt but wanted some of the comforts of home- running water, heat, electricity. From there Acadia Yurts was born. We deeply hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!!
