Situato su 5 acri di incantevole terra boscosa, circondato dalla proprietà del Parco Nazionale di Acadia, Acadia Yurts offre un rifugio tranquillo per il tuo gruppo (fino a 4 ospiti per 24 'Yurta, 6 ospiti per 30' Yurta o 2 ospiti per Piccola Casa). Acadia Yurts è ideale anche per gruppi numerosi che viaggiano con alloggi per un massimo di 34 persone su 1 sito.

Una yurta è una struttura circolare in tessuto simile a una tenda con una struttura in legno reticolare che ha avuto origine tra le tribù nomadi in Asia. Queste strutture permanenti e colorate hanno pareti esterne in tela spessa che includono isolamento riflettente e una pompa di calore / unità AC ad alta efficienza in modo da poter stare comodo in ogni stagione. Le yurte stanno rapidamente diventando una nuova esperienza di vacanza che i vacanzieri stanno godendo in tutti gli Stati Uniti dalle viste sulla scogliera in California alle baite in Colorado. Acadia yurts is a lovely retreat from the crowds of bar harbor and Acadia. Central location and easy to get to the popular spot. Also close to the quiet side harbors and restaurants. Loved the wellness center at the facility. We enjoyed yoga, float therapy, sauna and massage.

The yurt was perfect!

We had such a comfortable stay at Acadia Yurts! It had everything we needed and had great decorative touches. This experience of Acadia and staying in a yurt was new to us, and it couldn’t have gone better!

Outdoor Retreat

Peaceful Oasis in Southwest Harbor

We absolutely loved our time in the Dorr Mountain yurt. Incredibly spacious, stocked with all cooking needs, and thoughtful touches making the space super cozy. Highly recommend!

Amazing!

Staying at Acadia Yurts is a wonderful experience! You feel submerged in nature but are conveniently located to explore all of MDI. The hosts were wonderful to work with. We highly recommend!

Wonderful Experience

This was a great, easy way to experience camping in Acadia. The place was clean, comfortable, and lots of fun. It had every creature comfort you would expect. We had a wonderful time in a quiet, beautiful setting. Thank you!

Our first time in a yurt and we loved it! The property is so well maintained and we had all the essentials we needed. It's an added bonus to have the wellness center on site and be able to book a "float", sauna or yoga class. We had so much fun exploring the area and coming back to the yurt to enjoy dinner on the grill or stove and relax outdoors. We plan to return! (Check in was simple, communication excellent, wi-fi worked great and kitchen was simple and had what was needed.)

Great getaway spot in close proximity to Acadia NP!

The Dorr Mountain yurt was the perfect getaway spot that was close to Acadia National Park. The yurt was well stocked with easy access to additional items such as onsite laundry. The yurt was clean and comfortable for our family of four. Communication from the owner was great.

Host: Karen Roper

Aaron is a Maine native. He was born and raised across the bridge in Trenton and grew up attending local Bar Harbor schools. He has worked in the restaurant industry for 20+ years beginning as a prep cook in high school then moving toward general manager. Aaron's favorite extracurricular activity is learning all he can about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As often as he can, he trains locally and loves sharing this passion with others.

Karen is a transplant. Originally from Chicago she made her way to Maine in 2009 and fell in love immediately. In Acadia she enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, and long walks on the carriage roads. Karen has been teaching yoga locally for over 6 years and now brings her practice to the Wellness Center (located on site at Acadia Yurts). Karen is also a licensed massage therapist and offers services onsite (pending availability).

As a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling and through that we have narrowed down the particular way we like to travel. The biggest factor for us is having a furnished kitchen in order to prepare health minded foods to nourish our bodies and support all our outdoor activities. The idea for Acadia Yurts has been brewing for quite some time. Friends of ours live off the grid in a yurt and we greatly appreciate the rustic, romantic feel of the yurt but wanted some of the comforts of home; running water, heat, electricity. From there Acadia Yurts was born. We truly hope you enjoy our property and your time here as much as we do.
