Getting Around:
The apartment is 55 km | 35 miles from the Cancun International Airport (CUN) and is located in the heart of downtown Playa in Apartments Amanecer. The ride from the airport to the apartment is usually around 50 minutes, but it all depends on the traffic and time of day. You should refer to your mobile map app for travel time.
It’s best to pre-arrange private transportation for your group from the airport as taxis are quite expensive. Private transport usually will run about $65-80 USD for a van for up to 8-10 passengers with luggage. You can also take the ADO first-class bus for about $12 USD per person/seat. It takes a little longer, about an hour’s drive because they make a few stops on the way, but it’s much more economical.
If you don’t feel like renting a car and driving around town, taxis are always available, just be sure to take registered taxis only! Public bicycles are available to rent downtown too. You will see the BiciPlaya stands where you can rent bikes by the day or by the journey.
There are also 2 ADO bus stations to get you to nearby Yucatan destinations or other Mexican states for day trips, etc, located at:
- 5th Avenue and Av. Benito Juarez
- 20 Avenida Norte and Calle 12
In the event you are driving around town, note there are PARKING METERS IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN! The meters are in operation from Monday to Sunday 10 am to 10 pm all around downtown Playa with one digital parking meter box per street that you have to look for to pay for your parking and display your ticket on the dashboard.
PUBLIC PARKING LOTS & GARAGES (There are 4 main parking lots in Playa):
- Under Quinta Alegría Mall, an underground lot you enter on Constituyentes Avenue between 10th Avenue and 5th Avenue
- Tendenza, an underground lot, on 10th Avenue between 14th Street and 14 Bis Street
- Plaza Pelícanos outdoor lot, on 10th Avenue between 8th and 10th Street
- 34th Street and 10th Avenue, an outdoor 24-hr lot
All parking is reasonably priced at about 10-20 pesos an hour or 200 pesos for 24-hour parking.
Other Things to Note:
*Please note, the location is incredible but you will be about 100 m/300 ft from the nightclubs on 12th Street. If you like to go out and dance, this will be a great stay for you!
No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed. Daytime visitors are not allowed. A penalty fee will apply for unauthorized visitors.
*There is no free parking at the apartment complex. You must pay to park in the street, using the coin-operated parking meters.
Wi-Fi, Smart TV, bed linens, and bath towels are provided free for all guests during your stay.
Please help us save energy by using the AC wisely and keeping the temperature at 25°C. There are weekly and monthly electricity charges. The electricity fee per week is $ 50 USD and per month is $ 200 USD.
There is no daily housekeeping but if you’d like the place cleaned during your stay, that can be arranged for an extra charge.
A security deposit may be required prior to arrival or at check-in subject to the booking platform used to make the reservation. This fee is charged as a credit card transaction and refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met.
Guests will be requested to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation.
HOUSE RULES:
- Travelers must be at least 21 years of age or older to book.
- No smoking of any kind is allowed (tobacco or cannabis) inside the apartment. The use of any recreational drugs in the house is prohibited. Failure to comply will incur a $300 penalty.
- No parties/events, excessive noise after 10 pm, or illegal activity is permitted on the premises. Please be respectful of the neighbors.
- No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed. No tent or other structures may be set up on the ground of the property.
- Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or extra-cleaning charges if needed after their stay.
- Renters may be required to provide a government ID upon booking, on the day of checking in, or during their stay for identity verification.
- Please avoid moving furniture.
- Pets are not allowed at this property.
Interaction with Guests:
You can check yourself in using the lockbox at the front gate. Access codes are sent within 24 hours of your arrival.
