2200 Square Foot Arts and Craft Cottage on Canim Lake. 211 Feet of beach front with beautiful pebbles. Three viewing porches. There is a large lawn for Bocce Ball or Croquet. Located within walking distance to Reynolds Resort for boat and fishing rentals.

Canim Lake is one of the Cariboo's gems and the largest lake in the South Cariboo. Canim in know to have been frequented by famous folks such as Edgar J Hoover (Hoover Bay), Hemmingway (Hemmingway Lodge), John Wayne and the Rat Pack. A man named Bob Fish owned a resort at the North End of Canim Lake apparently called the Cariboo Canim Resort and used to fly guests on his DC3 from Vancouver to the resort. The resort closed in the early 1970's but Canim is still relatively undeveloped. The lake has a mountainous terrain and amazing scenery as it is surrounded by old dormant volcanoes.

Stair Alert: The cottage is build on a gentle slope and there are stairs in the home and stairs to the beach. If you have a difficulty with stairs this will not be ideal.

Equipments:

There is a rowboat with life jackets and paddles for use in the boathouse for guest use. Living room has 34" HD Satellite TV.

Located in Canim Lake, this cottage is in the mountains and on the beach. Handle Tow Ski Lift and Mt. Timothy Ski Area are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Canim Beach Provincial Park and Ruth Lake Provincial Park. Take in the nearby slopes with cross-country skiing, or check out other outdoor activities such as snowmobiling.

Beautiful place and a beautiful lake!

We loved swimming in the clear water off the dock and laying in the sun in the dock. The cabin itself is gorgeous and spacious. We liked being so close to Reynolds’s Resort. Thank you!

My husband (Les) and I (Carl), love the simple things in life. We are also the proud parents of our Boston Terrier named Rocky. While we love to travel, we also love spending time at our homes in Penticton, Puerto Vallarta Mexico and Canim Lake. We are both nature lovers and foodies. We believe that it isn't important what you own in this life, it is the memories and the special times with friends and families that matter. We love sharing our special places with other people, and it is so wonderful when guests have stayed at our vacation homes and remark about feeling like they have come home.

Canim Lake is the largest lake in the South Cariboo region of BC. It is very unique, as most of the lake is surrounded by Crown land with old growth forests. This cottage is conveniently located close to Reynolds Resort where you can do boat rentals and they have a small convenience store. This property has 211 feet of private beach with Canim's trademark small pebbles. Up from the cottage is Greenlee Lake which is a trophy fishing lake for Kokanee and Rainbow trout.

This Cottage is very unique. It has three different porches, all with different vibes. Within the cottage itself there is the main wood fireplace with 18 Foot ceilings and gorgeous views of Canim Lake. The main level of the home is described as cozy yet spacious. Sitting by the Bonfire at night and roasting marshmallows is a favourite pastime. During the winter season the home is popular during the Ice Fishing season and for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy X-Country Skiing or snow shoeing.
