Our one-bedroom second floor unit, The Starfish sleeps 4. It has a comfortable bedroom as well as a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. This modern, beachfront apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and private deck with gas Bar-B-Que grill facing the crystal white sands of our private beach, just steps away. Come sit in our common area with a glass of wine and sit by the fire pit and enjoy our world famous sunsets or swing in the hammock with a great book and feel the gulf breeze. We are located only a block away from all the shops, restaurants and bars in Siesta Village.

Starfish/ Hobbit house/Sunset Beach Resort

The unit which we stayed in called the Starfish. It was clean had the necessary appliances, however in regards to their accuracy of their listing; it was way off. You couldn’t be any taller than 5’4” due to the very low ceilings. I’m 5’3” and I was able to touch the ceiling. That’s why we named it the Hobbit house. The table & chairs were unsafe to sit on and the pull out sofa was very uncomfortable to sit on. Once you sat on the cushions, it would sink down. If you want a place for only location, it was great, but as far as comfort I would pass it up. This place is only suitable for two people. Knowing that it was peak season(Feb) the price to stay there was still overpriced.

We had a wonderful time at Sunset Beach Resort. It was clean and well-equipped, with a great location close to a less crowded part of the beach but only a few blocks to restaurants and shops. We loved the little deck with a view of the ocean as well as the lovely garden sitting area.

Beachfront gem

This little gem is tucked away on the side of the home with a beautiful glimpse of the ocean from the kitchen window and deck. Little tricky arriving in the dark, I missed the door leading up to the apt from the parking area~ totally my bad. I walked around the home and entered by going up the deck steps. The location to Siesta Key Village will have us returning. So excited I stumbled onto this listing with availability. It made celebrating my husband's birthday a trip to remember!
