Perfect stay with every amenity for a very comfortable stay. A super quiet picturesque idyll of a place from the balcony watching the boats come and go on the lake whilst sipping wine. Easy parking for 2 cars right on the property and within walking distance to Bowness-on-Windermere for the cruises etc. Helen the host will make your stay memorable.

We stayed here with our American friends. We really wanted somewhere that impressed, and did justice to a special time together, with people we haven't seen in nearly 10 years. We weren't disappointed.This apartment is outstanding. The photos are accurate, but it still really has that Wow factor when you walk in. And, of course, the view from the balcony, is simply stupendous. Helen, our host, clearly has a great eye for interior design. All the little details made the place feel instantly homely and comfortable.It's brilliantly located for the town of Bowness, and it only took 15 minutes to walk to all the delights that it has to offer.All in all, I would strongly recommend Helen's apartment. Thank you for letting us stay.

Everything about our stay was excellent;- great views of the lake from the veranda- wonderful accommodation- top quality beddingInitially I did think it was expensive, however, since being there I with family, we all agreed it was a bargain, everything about the stay reeked of quality. Will definitely be back (if we can find a slot, because it is almost fully booked over the year) and hopefully it will be an annual booking.Steve

Our stay at Helen’s was perfect (even with a little bit of rain). The property is immaculate and close to all the local amenities. We would revisit in a heartbeat.

Perfect Property

A fantastic property in a perfect location. The views are amazing in this really spacious and clean home. This has to be one of the top places to stay In Bowness. Book it, you wont regret it.

Great location fantastic lake view

We all had a great time at Walkers. Quiet location but within minutes of all amenities and restaurants. The house was very clean and well equipped. Great time had by all.

Perfect retreat by the water

As advertised this property is extremely clean, comfortable and updated. Was a perfect location and retreat in the region being close to towns and restaurants but nice and quiet on the lake. Helen the owner also close by and very helpful & communicative. We had a great stay and would come back for sure.

Stunning views and excellent property

Walkers Boat House is an excellent property sitting directly on lakeside with stunning views across Windermere and to the fells beyond.A quality restoration of the original boat house it has everything needed, it is very well finished and spotlessly clean.

Fabulous accommodation

Best self catering we've ever stayed in. Phenomenal position, with a balcony boasting views over the Lake. Generous host providing fresh flowers, wine, chocolates , fruit teas and coffee pods(in addition to basics of milk, bread and butter) Highly recommended

Relaxing and family friendly

This was one of the most relaxing placed I stayed with my family. The host was super nice and the place and items provided with the property were really good. Also, the host recommendations for restaurants were on point. Great food and services on all of them. Definitely will return.

Great location for walking, sailing and relaxing.

Fantastic view, clean and well appointed. Lots to see and do: 5 to 10 minute walk into Bowness with plenty of shops, restaurants and activities; right by the water and easy to hire canoes or go sailing. Plenty of walks to suit all abilities. Ferry across to the other side of the lake is fun with lovely cafe and scenic lakeside path.

Easter in the Lakes

This is s gorgeous property overlooking Lake Windermere, every little detail catered for, even down to the bathrobes ! There was a lovely welcome pack when we arrived which was much appreciated and the views are to die for !!!! We will definitely be booking again !!

Wow simply the best.

This property was superb, immaculately clean, amazingly comfortable with little treats, and the views from the balcony are amazing, watched quite a few sunsets. A very special place. we will be back.

5 Star isn't high enough for this lovely boat house. All the amenities were provided. View is spectacular! Perfect location could walk to ferry and into the village, and we appreciated the gracious & Knowledgeable landlord!

Fabulous boathouse

Spacious boathouse with all modern appliances. Fantastic views from balcony. Excellent welcome pack - best I have ever come across! Would definitely stay again. Awesome.
