My husband and I travel a lot and have booked several houses as we do not like hotels. Of all the houses we have rented, this was our least favorite, however it could be improved easily. The driveway to get up to the house is very steep. We almost didn't make it in our truck. So you do park directly in front of the house but the severe driveway is not mentioned. Had we known, we would have driven a smaller car. Plus it's advertised as a two car driveway. Maybe two small cars but we barely had room to turn around in our truck. The 3 point turn was more like a 10 point turn! The hot tub is on the deck in front of the house. It's a good size for a couple, it held heat well and everything worked. We suggest adding a retractable awning. We went in the fall so we had a lot of stuff falling from the trees while we were there. Plus it would provide more privacy. There is a house to the right of the house and they have a lot of Windows and their own deck. It's possible that guests of the other house could see you in the hot tub. Other than that, the deck was a good size with a gas grill and small patio set. The layout of the house is actually really good. It's great for a couple on a get away. Even with a king sized bed, the bedroom is plenty spacious. The living room and kitchen are open as well. We did not use the game room upstairs but it was in good condition except for the dart board which was falling apart.
What was disappointing and made this our least favorite house was the kitchen. The size was great but it was seriously lacking in supplies and functionality. The burners on the stove are not the originals and they do not fit. Everything cooked on the burners cooked at an angle as steep as the drive way. Cooking eggs was a nightmare and all the burners were at this 45 degree angle. The oven door is also broken. When we opened the oven, the door separated and the glass is dangerously close to falling out. It's a safety issue and a new stove needs to be purchased. We usually eat out once or twice, but we cook a lot. The supplies in the kitchen were almost non exisitant. $100-200 at Wal-Mart would go a long way to stocking this kitchen. The one spatula is cheap and falling apart. There are no serving utensils. Half the knives are missing. No storage containers, or basics like foil, cooking spray, salt and pepper. The kitchen needs to be stocked like at home. I expect to purchase some supplies but shouldn't need to buy cooking utensils and basics.
