Absolutely gorgeous view. can only imagine during peak fall foliage time. The place is a bit dated and my biggest issue was that the toilet was dirty and counter very sticky.

I loved the morning and sunset view from the balcony. Only thing that I saw that was not good was the air vents; they had dust around them. If someone has asthma it would be a bad stay. The bears will try to open your car doors.

I absolutely loved the ease of the checkin process and that there wasn't a 24-hour restriction on it (I'm a procrastinator and was playing this trip 'by ear'). The property was clean and the view was wonderful. The only downside was winding up and down the mountain for access, but that's par for the course in this area.

Beautiful balcony view! Just what we wanted. Condo is comfortable. A little dated, but a great value. Quite the steep, winding 1 1/2 mile road to the unit, but that’s what gives you the incredible view. Encountered a bear in the parking lot, just as warned. He was peering in cars, so be sure to follow the rules about not leaving food in your vehicle! He wasn’t threatening…ran off when we yelled at him. Add to the charm of the experience in the Smokies!!

The setting is beautiful, saw bears closely, easy check-in and exit. Plenty of space for a couple. Not too far from Gatlinburg and the national park. The interior could use an update. Comfortable, enough kitchen cookware, but just looks a bit tired. That being said, we’d definitely stay again.

Thanks for the stay, Cathy. We recognize that the condo hasn’t undergone a full renovation like some others in the area, and we price it accordingly. We continue to make steady improvements and maintain the space so it remains comfortable and functional for guests. I don’t think it’s entirely fair to book a value‑priced stay and then compare it to a luxury‑level experience, but as you noted, you did have a nice stay and would return. I imagine that’s because the condo met — and perhaps exceeded — your needs at a price point that offers strong value.

Thank you for the review, and I’m glad you enjoyed the view during your anniversary getaway. The condo isn’t fully modernized, but it’s a very comfortable space, and we’ve replaced the flooring throughout within the last year. We’ll continue applying updates periodically as cash flow permits, and the current level of modernization is reflected in the price. I’m happy to hear it was a nice place to stay for your special trip.

Thank you for the wonderful review. I’m glad the condo was the perfect size for your stay and that you enjoyed those amazing mountain views. As you discovered, you have to go up mountain roads to get mountain views — the switchbacks are part of the experience, and it’s great to hear you felt they were worth it once you reached the top. I’m happy the location worked well for you and that you had a great week in the area.

I have aspirations of retiring to the mountains and managing 5 of our own properties and 15 other luxury vacation rentals. A condo purchase in May of 2018 represents our 3rd property. In November of 2023, I purchased a fourth property, a railroad caboose. Throughout 2024, we will be converting the Caboose to a luxury 1 bedroom property with a goal of having it on rental for spring of 2025. In 2013, we took over the daily management of the properties. We aren't perfect but we do believe in continuous improvement. We consider our places to be part of your vacation experience and as such we are part of 100's of joyous times with families and friends. Our hope is that the cabin & your stay in this beautiful city is a wonderful, lifelong memory.
