Along with two friends my husband and I visited Crasciana from 23rd June to 2nd July 2018. The house is what you would expect to find in a typical hilltop village it has been refitted with a modern bathroom, kitchen and big TV (great for World Cup football) but, still retains lots of original character. From the outside terraces the views are spectacular and you are not overlooked by any of the nearby properties so it is very private, we ate all of our meals on the outdoor table and soaked up the wonderful surroundings. The kitchen has modern appliances, cooker, gas hob, dishwasher and a terrific coffee machine also, a washing machine. Initially, the road up to the village was slightly daunting (especially with a large SUV rental car) but after a few times up and down you got more of a feel of the twists and turns. When you see Italian villages perched on the top of a hill and wonder how they are accessed - now we know. In the lower village of Barcrasciana there is a small bar, very local, friendly and inexpensive, above the bar is a shop which is useful and well stocked also, nearer to the bottom of the road is a restaurant, Aurora, we enjoyed a lovely lunch there. If you want to experience a typical Italian house in an interesting unspoiled village with views that you never get tired of, this is the property for you. I nearly forgot to mention the pool, which is great for cooling off and admiring the natural surroundings.
