The highlight of our trip! Such a cool, unique floating cottage. We were lucky enough to experience it all - rain and waves, clouds and sun, sunsets and stars. From the well equipped super cute interior, to morning coffee on the deck (with feet in the water), to the awesome sunset river cruise provided by our host - it was a perfect, relaxing stay.

The floating cottage was thoughtfully designed, beautifully decorated, well provisioned, and has everything one would need for a private and cozy stay. We loved the many windows that we kept open to hear the sound of the water and nature. The host provided many extra amenities for the guests including fire pits, kayaks, standup paddle boards and swim floats so that we can fully enjoy the superb location.

Ketch Cottage was lovely and unique, in a tranquil location on the river but minutes away from shops and restaurants. The cottage was immaculate and extremely well equipped, which really impressed my wife the chef, although we didn’t do a lot of cooking as the nearby restaurants and those in Lunenburg were excellent. We would definitely return!

Gordon is a super host. The property is lovely. What anyone renting should know is there are steep stairs to a loft where the main bed is. If you prefer not to climb, there is a sofa bed. For us, climbing up and down the stairs was a little nerve racking but the total experience was lovely.

The property was clean, well maintained, and so charming! We enjoyed using the kayaks in the river and the beautiful sunsets! We picked up some vegetables and cooked at the cottage. It was so relaxing to sit on the beautiful deck and eat dinner. Watch for seals in the river! I was amazed to see them pop their heads out of the water on my first kayak ride. I would definitely book this cottage again but would stay longer next time.

The house is amazing and is in such a beautiful setting. Everything you would possibly need is provided, including a large pot just outside the door with fresh basil, parsley, and mint, as well as blackberry bushes on the property,. Gordon, our host, greeted us when we arrived and explained everything to us. He even took us for a sunset boat ride. Just a warning that the stairs to the bedroom are challenging if you have mobility issues.
