Such a beautiful location in the hills outside of Bologna. So peaceful and inviting, yet everything in the area was easily accessible. Pietro was a charming host!

The stay at the house was wonderful. Very beautiful and quiet place. Piero the owner would make us some sweet every morning..they would be sittings on the table in the morning...He also with his neighbor's had a pizza night...this is a great place to stay...Grazie Mille Piero.

Incredible stay with gracious host

It’s worth the short drive up the mountain to well appointed and spacious property. Views are memorable and the host adds personal perspective and local information. Highly recommend!

In the hills near Bologna

We loved our apartment Sassolo. It was centrally located to both Bologna and Modena. The owner lives on site and was available for all our needs. He provided us a lovely pizza dinner our first night and made us feel right at home. We certainly recommend staying here.

Perfect Piero

Spacious, well-appointed, well-stocked house with large garden, outdoor seating and stunning view. Our host Piero was the epitome of a perfect Italian gentleman who always recommended great restaurants and terrific local sights. Use of the BBQ and pizza oven was an added pleasure. Lovely 40-minute drive to Bologna and its beauty and also easy access to a string of lovely villages/towns in the region. We loved staying here and highly recommend it. Hopefully we can return one day. Thank you, Piero, for making our stay so memorable.

A lovely property in beautiful surroundings

The house itself was exactly as described online with the covered terrace being a wonderful bonus in view of the hot & sunny weather during our stay. Piero was a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome. He also made us very tasty pizzas in the wood fired pizza oven in the garden & even baked goodies for us! We enjoyed exploring the cities and towns nearby - especially Bologna, Modena & Ferrara. This is a beautiful part of the world & we would really recommend using this as your base as it’s far enough away from anywhere to really relax but also close enough to properly explore the area. Lovely getaway

The property and house is very charming-it has everything you need for your stay. We were there for 5 days. The owner is delightful and very friendly and quite helpful with suggestions for the area to do. The only thing I'd recommend is top sheets for the beds. Only a single comforter was provided. People from America are used to a top sheet and then comforter. We prefer this-there were extra blankets but we desired a top sheet for when we got warm or hot in bed so we could take the comforter off and still have a sheet over us. Thank you ve

Traditional hillside Villa

The property is spacious, clean and has a large garden with wonderful views down the Valley. Pietro was there to greet us and was extremely welcoming and helpful with his local knowledge; thoughtfully leaving us little treats for breakfast everyday. The dishwasher and washing machine were very useful. It is an unmade road just near the property so requires some caution, but our small car managed with no problem. Take provisions with you as the property is on a hillside. We drove to a local town, Bazzano and caught the train into Bologna; which proved stress free and there was a large free car park just 2 minutes from the station. Book your tickets on line through the Trenitalia app. If going to Maranello and Ferrari, the parking is very limited near the museum and car parks have a short time limit. We parked about a 15 minute walk away on a street. Thank you Piero for your welcome and assistance.

Die Ferienunterkunft "casa doriana" ist sehr schön und nützlich eingerichtet und bietet für zwei Personen viel Raum. Man kann dort auch gut zu viert auskommen ( zwei Bade- und Schlafzimmer). Das Anwesen mit parkähnlichem Garten geht zwanglos in einen dichten Wald über. Der Vermieter hat alles getan, um uns eine wunderbare Urlaubswoche zu ermöglichen: Tipps für Restaurantbesuche, für Käse- und Wurstwarenfachgeschäfte, für Ausflüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung. Wir können die casa doriana sehr empfehlen!

Schöne Ferienunterkunft

Der Vermieter war ein sehr netter Gastgeber. Hat uns morgens mit selbst gebackenen Gebäck versorgt. Am letzten Abend hat er uns zum Pizzaessen eingeladen, auch diese hat er selbst für uns zubereitet. Stand uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite.

Casolare nella campagna bolognese

Casolare su due piani veramente bellissimo e curato nei dettagli, dotato di tutte le comodità e degli accessori che una casa richiede. Il proprietario è gentilissimo, pronto ad accogliere qualsiasi nostra richiesta. Un pó fuori dalla città ma compensa la distanza (pur sempre non eccessiva) con tutto il resto. Davvero consigliatissimo!

Charme du lieu

Grand gîte fidèle aux photos affichées sur le site. A quelques kilomètres de Bologne on a apprécié le calme et la beauté du lieu. De là, il est très facile de rejoindre les différents sites touristiques de la region. Mais par dessus tout nous avons apprécié la disponibilité, la gentillesse et toutes les petites attentions de la part de Pietro. Une très belle personne.

Piero was an amazing host and made us feel st home. The view from the property is breathtaking and everything you see in the images is real and accurate. Everything was clean and the shower worked perfect. You get more than expected and you look forward to coming back to this place.
