Great location, easy walking distance to the castle and lots of good restaurants. Everything we needed was provided and a nice starter supply of groceries to get us going. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Hi Grace, It was lovely to meet you and glad you enjoyed your stay. If you're up on Skye and can leave the kids with your folks, go to Elgol and get a boat £50 over to Loch Coruisk and hike up Sgurr Na Stri (467 meters) - internet it and you'll see what I mean.

Location was not convenient. Not close to any venues. Loose floorboards.Railing was coming off the wall Mouldy walls and ceiling. Carpet needs a good shampooing. Nothing like the description.

Lovely Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely new decorated cottage, it had everything to make you feel at home and was very comfortable. The location was great, right on the door step to all the local amenities including lovely places to eat. I would recommend highly and have already booked to stay again.

Great central location

Really enjoyed staying in Inverness. The property is very central and everything in the city was easily walkable to. The property was clean and had everything we needed for our short break. Would recommend this property to anyone visiting Inverness.

We had a nice time.

We enjoyed our stay, Gregor was nice and gave us lots of nice adventure tips, what else we could do in and around Inverness. The house had everything we needed, was clean and nice.

Rose Cottage

Loved my stay at Rose Cottage. Gregor was a great host...even left us 'bits and bobs' in the fridge for our arrival. The cottage is in such a convenient location so we had no trouble getting around without a car. Would definitely stay again!

Great Place to Stay

We stayed at the Rose Cottage in July 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Gregor answered every question we had in a very timely manner and even gave us a ride to the train station on our last day. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. It was also very helpful to have a washer and dryer to use in the middle of our trip. Thank you Gregor!

Great place in a great little city

Everything about this place was 5 stars or better. One of the most comfortable places we have stayed in and add to this very conveniently located for walking the river Ness to walking in old town. Many restaurants to pick from in a very short walking distance. Thank you Gregor for letting us stay in your great place. Hope to see you again.

Long Weekend in Inverness

Very communicative host. Convenient location to launch trips to Dores, Dornoch, Dunrobin, Golspie, Cabot Highlands, Culloden, Drumnadrochit, and Urquart Castle. Cozy evenings here after busy days out and about!

Born locally with extensive knowledge and love of the Highlands, willing to help with suggestions concerning day trips and how to maximise places to visit. The real pleasure for me is meeting people from around the world and sharing my love of Scotland's natural beauty. I am available to do tours with seating for 8 guests. A favourite tour is to Glenfinnan to watch the Harry Potter train cross the viaduct before returning to Fort William, to take the Scotrail train to do the actual train journey. Advance notice required to book train tickets. Skye, Dunrobin Castle and Straths and Glen tours the favourite and recommended tours.

It is in a perfect location, recently and tastefully decorated within walking distance of the local supermarket (2 mins), the Waterfront Bar/Restaurant (1 minute) and a short walk into the centre of town down the River Ness with its beautiful views of the Castle and Churches. Fully equipped with super fast broadband/Wi-Fi, 55 inch 4k Smart TV, everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay in Inverness. Also has beautiful enclosed back garden if travelling with pets.

The Cottage is beautiful with an enclosed back garden for your pets and for relaxing, BBQing and enjoying the wildlife. E mountain bike and road bike hire with personal driver to drop off, pick and guide routes on request or use for tours in 9 seater vehicle for epic day trips to see the Harry Potter Train going over Glenfinnan viaduct before being taken to Fort William to catch train to do the actual journey to Mallaig (an epic day out). Perfect for larger groups with two cottages next door. See pictures for example days out.
