This is a very charming cottage that retains the character of it’s past. The owner met us on arrival and gave a very thorough introduction to the property. Unfortunately Storm Amy hit the area hard and we were forced to leave the area sooner than expected. The owner fully understood and was very helpful with her suggestions and offers of help. We were disappointed not to be able to stay longer but would return again and we recommend this property to others. We would like to thank the owner for her support.

Beautiful cottage by the sea

My family spent 5 days at this locely cottage in Avoch. The cottage is beautiful, just steps from the water, with a rocky beach great for beachcombing. The cottage was clean and nicely decorated. Suzana was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to questions.

Wundervoller Aufenthalt in zauberhafte Fischerhaus

Wir haben uns als Familie sofort wohlgefühlt.Suzana hat uns herzlich empfangen und uns alles erklärt.Das Haus ist nicht nur wunderschön mit historischem Flair sondern auch super ausgestattet. Suzana has a beautiful cozy cottage with a peaceful view over the water. Her cottage has everything you need along with thoughtful little pieces here and there for your enjoyment. If you’re looking for something authentic, peaceful with lovely little villages about, this is the place.

Cozy Cottage

The cottage was renovated and well done. It was really quite comfortable and the backyard was wonderful! Suzana was very diligent, having met us at check in to explain the ins and outs of her cottage. She was really easy to communicate with via whats ap. We very much appreciated her. I will say anyone over 5' 9" ish will find the bathroom doorway tricky. My husband and I are both over 5' 9" and despite the well placed warning sign to mind our heads, we still hit them a couple of times. The only other thing to be aware of is that a washer and dryer are listed as available in the cottage, but it's just a washer. The clothes line outside is where we had to hang our clothes to dry. Other than that, we would recommend staying with Suzana!

Lovely Fisherman Cottage

Suzana met us at her cottage, explained how all the switches worked and provided all sorts of helpful information about her cottage and the area. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to prepare meals. It was comfortable and warm and very clean. Watching the water frrom the cottage was really special. Would definitely go back again.

Great little cottage !

The hostess, Suzana was very friendly and informative. The cottage was quiet and central to so many sites. It was well equipped, wonderful views to the water. We loved it and would happily stay there again.

A Short Sottage Stay

Suzana was a most gracious and helpful host. She made check in very easy and was very accommodating. The cottage is lovely and had everything that we (a family of four) needed for our stay. The neighborhood was lovely and we enjoyed our walks around and the just taking in the beautiful scenery. Thank you so much!

Wir haben zwei wunderbare Wochen im Fischerhaus in Avoch genossen. Das Haus hält, was die Bilder versprechen. Aus allen Räumen haben Sie eine wunderschöne Aussicht direkt auf das Wasser des Moray Firth. Bis zum Wasser sind es nur wenige Schritte. Das Haus bietet alles, was Sie für einen gelungenen Ferienhausaufenthalt benötigen. Ein wunderbarer Garten ergänzt einen entspannten Aufenthalt. Suzana hat uns herzlich willkommen geheißen, sie ist eine großartige und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. An dieser Stelle noch einmal unseren herzlichsten Dank für alles! Avoch ist ein kleines, ruhiges Dorf, ein kleiner Supermarkt bietet das Nötigste, was man braucht. 3 Takeaways sind sehr hilfreich und empfehlenswert, wenn es einmal schnell gehen muss. Besonderes Highlight im Nachbarort Fortrose am Chanonry Point sind die Delphine, die ca. 2 - 3 Stunden nach Erreichen der Ebbe in der Bucht schwimmen. Avoch ist ein sehr guter Standort für Trips in die Highlands, Inverness, aus unserer Sicht als Stadt überschätzt, bietet alles, was das Shopping-Herz begehrt.

Great base for the Black Isle!

Cottage was cozy warm and very well equipped. Loads of character and lovely wild garden that the grandsons loved. The beach across the road was ideal too.

Tanera More is the ideal "Highland cottage by the sea". The village of Avoch has always been a fishermans cove and the small harbour continues to support a small community of fisherman plus a new generation of pleasure trips to see the dolphins. This part of the Moray Firth enjoys a mild climate sheltered from the open seas by Channory Point, and the area is abundant in wild life. The Cairngorm mountains to the south are covered in snow during the winter months and lure out door enthusiasts. Local culture of legend and folklore are on the door step and intriguing Pictish remains dot the landscape. Sandy beaches are close by in Rosemarkie and there's golfing in Fortrose. It's the perfect holiday getaway, yet is only 10 miles from the amenities of Inverness.
