This a large, very clean suite. The kitchen is well stocked with whatever you might need to cook. This apartment is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator and the stairs are quite steep. The bedrooms are over the downstair restaurant and it is quite noisy into the late evening.

Great location

Walking distance to everything we did. Clean and comfortable. Beds could be updated with better mattresses but besides that it had everything needed for a pleasant stay. Other reviews correct on noise level but ear plugs did the trick! Totally worth it for the location!

Great location

Had the whole place to myself, absolutely loved it. Great location for everything i wanted to explore, close to the beach & great restaurants. Clean place, comfy beds, the apartment had everything i needed. If u want a quiet night sleep, wont recommend a room on the street side. I personally really enjoyed the sound of music, laughter & hustle. But its loud so be conscious of that.

Beautiful apartment located on the main street of the old town of Funchal. Can’t get more central that this. The apartment was very well stocked with everything needed in the kitchen and bathroom. If you are staying in the heart of the old town, you must be prepared to hear some noise (mostly related to restaurant staff opening and closing the outdoor seating). Property management staff online quickly addressed our request for a second set of keys to the apt. Check out very smooth and uncomplicated. Overall fabulous apartment.The only con: other guests have commented that the beds are very hard. That doesn’t do it justice. Both beds are like concrete slabs which - if you don’t have much padding on you - will leave bruises on your body as you try to sleep. Not an exaggeration- I actually checked to see if they were real mattresses. This could easily be solved by adding a cheap foam pad to both beds. As it stands, it’s quite difficult to sleep as every movement hurts.

Large clean apartment, in a very central location. The only downside, which comes with the central location, is it will be noisy at night.

Awesome location but bring your ear plugs!

You could not be more central with this apartment and it is really spacious with big rooms and lounge / kitchen area. With the main pedestrianised street of the old town outside be warned it can get a bit noisy late into the night but nothing a pair of ear plugs can’t deal with. Our Madeira were super responsive as well.

Great spot in a central location

Overall it is a good place to stay. It’s spacious and the two bedrooms were more than enough room for my friend and I to be comfortable. Probably could sleep up to 4 comfortably if it was two couples. The location is great for being central in downtown Funchal, but the only con is its very loud basically all times of the day. It’s on a busy restaurant street so it’s loud until late at night and then very early in the morning they are setting up for the next day. The bedrooms are right above a very busy spot so it’s hard to sleep in past 6 or 7am.

Place is very hot and no AC (fans only), there was only one fan. We were staying in two bedrooms when we requested another fan they said only one fan per unit then we kind of bug them because we are two people sleeping in two separate bedrooms so it doesn’t make sense for us to share one fan eventually they brought one. The other thing is it’s very well located but very very noisy starts very early 6 AM at the restaurants under start setting up tables and ends at 1 am. Also very early checkout and very late check in. They requested late. Check out the grant that’s only 30 minutes.

Given the location in the Old Town, on a lively street with restaurants, some noise is to be expected — this is also mentioned in the listing to help set expectations. Regarding early check-in and late check-out, these are subject to availability, depending on arrivals and departures on the same day. The cleaning team needs sufficient time to prepare the apartment for the next guests, but the host always do their best to be as flexible as possible. Very spacious and clean. Have everything you may need for anyone to stay. Close to everywhere. Very friendly staff, great communication . We loved every minute. From previous reviews we knew that might be noisy till late night. However, from the location of apartment it is expected. Great cocktail bar just outside apartment and many places to eat. Only thing i wantednto advice with is to top up welcome basket with tea coffee and sugar, maybe just enough for people to have a cuppa after long journey. In general great place which we will recommend to others and who knows be back in future. Thank you.

Within Steps of Everything!

This apartment is literarily within half a block of the shore promenade, city center shopping, cable car station and is located in one of the most popular old town streets lined with restaurants. Very quaint and lively area. The apartment itself is located in an old building but is very modern inside with a full kitchen, living and dining areas, nice bathroom and two bedrooms with French balconies. The rental office was very responsive and made the whole process easy and convenient. Heads up staying in Funchal. It is very hilly which made this apartment especially nice since it is probably in the only flat area of town. If you want to meander the city buses are convenient, cheap and a couple of blocks from the aprtment.

Nice place to stay in Old Town Funchal

Convenient location for walking around the downtown area and for connecting to public transport elsewhere on the island. We did not need a rental car to access most of what Madeira has to offer. Well-equipped apartment, comfortable beds, ample hot water in the shower, clean, with very helpful, friendly staff on-site. Two problems to report: 1) WiFi was inconsistent in availability and throughput, particularly in the bedrooms. Moving the router to a more central location may help. 2) Noisy diners/drinkers near the building were partying well past midnight several nights during our one-week stay ...made it difficult to sleep even with earplugs.

Due to it's location in the heart of the city centre and in the restaurants and bars district it's is the perfect spot for those who want to explore the city and experience it's liveliness, which can be sometimes loud as there is huge influx of people in this area. Apartment was spacious and clean. Location was excellent. Only minor issue was that, because location was so close to streets and restaurants, it was quite noisy late into the night. But I would put up with that to enjoy how central it was and the amenities.

As it is clearly stated in the description of this property is located in the pedestrianised Old Town of Funchal, in the midst of the restaurants and bars and close to the market and of course some noise is expected.
