Houseboats do not all have an outside decking or a good view. This houseboat had both. A nice view of a nearby bridge and some boat traffic to watch. Warm and cosy , the aircon was needed on some days and was very effective. A lovely kitchen setup , very well equipped. Good sitting room with good size tv. And bedroom quiet and comfortable.

A wonderful central location, a nicely decorated house boat, and a lovely Amsterdam experience overall. Albert our host met us at check in. We appreciated the very well equipped kitchen (including spices, olive oil, espresso machine etc). A great bakery a few blocks away - Bakhuys. We’d love to come back.

The house boat is a floating oasis of quiet and comfort in a very busy city. Very private. Every day, after exploring the beauty of Amsterdam we would return to our boat and relax with the canal to entertain us - birds, boats, jumping fish. The place was well equipped and very comfortable, warm and relaxing, great bed and nice linens, hot shower. The outdoor patio was a bonus. We loved it. Highly recommend!

We spent eight days at this location and overall had a very positive experience. The houseboat is small but typical in size to the houseboats that line the canals of Amsterdam. The canal side of the boat was nearly all windows that didn't make it feel small and added a lot to the charm of the location. The Host has a lot of flowers lining the outside of the house boat that also give it charm. There is a small deck that is very fun to sit on in the evenings and watch all of the boats pass by. The king size bed was of good quality and was extremely comfortable for our stay and the blackout curtains made it easy to lose track of time in the morning. The kitchen was quite modern and well equipped and the washer and dryer units work well.A temporary downside to this location was the hotel that is being built adjacent to it. There was construction noise that did wake us up a few mornings and access to the street that runs along the canal was blocked off in a manner that messed up Google directions a couple of times. The location had good access to both the underground Metro and service tram stops and a few Ubers we used found it every time based on the address to host provides. Also, because of the canal it is situated on, there is a set of metal stairs that are required to go down to reach the unit which could be a problem if your mobility is challenged. The host was pleasant, responsive, and genuinely seems to care about the experience his guests enjoy.
