Modern Attractive Apartment in Good Location
A well-presented apartment in a hillside building comprising 9 units of accommodation. We were there in February in 25 degrees with lots of sunshine and it was quiet both in the apartment block and the neighbourhood. The shared pool is close to the aparment and we felt that it was almost part of our own space - especially as we only saw one other occupant during our week. The apartment is nicely laid out with modern and comfortable furniture and beds. The listing was not quite as advertised - no hairdryer (which was frustrating for my wife) and no toaster. Also, the glassware was a bit limited with only three wine glasses and three tumblers. These are relatively minor points and can be easily resolved. Street parking was relatively easy adjacent to the property and it was about a 15 minute walk down two lots of steps to get to the main restaurant and shopping areas. The walk back was a bit more challenging but taxis are plentiful if you don't want to struggle up the stairs! Puerto Rico has lots of decent restaurants mixed in with some quite cheap and chearful options - there should be something to suit most preferences. The beach looked pleasant with lots of sunbeds and spaces to sunbathe. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Soothing Seas but potential renters should note that accesss to the apartment is via a locked gate and down several flights of stairs as the apartment is on the bottom level of the property, not a major problem but slightly tricky with luggage etc. The TV is a 'smart tv' with access to netflix and the internet and the broadband internet is of a reasonable quality. We enjoyed our stay and found it very relaxing and comfortable.
