Fabulous girls trip

This condo unit was in perfect proximity of the beach and restaurants. The unit is spacious, has a fully stocked kitchen and was the perfect size for 3 adults. The price was right and we would definitely stay again!

Great Condo

We loved the location on the beach. The condo had everything we needed. There were just two of us so we really enjoyed having space.

Perfect!

My husband and I came to visit our daughter and enjoy some beach time. The condo was perfect. It was very clean and had everything we could have needed. The private access to the beach was a plus. We will definitely be back!

Class of '73 Perdido Queens!

Did not really have much contact w/property owner is the reason for the 4 stars.... The only complaint (actually two) needed more outside light to see the beach at night And needed an elevator! Lol Had a great time, though!

Great location-too many steps

Loved having the shrimp basket within walking distance, condo is nice and spacious. Beds are small, not that comfy, the back patio door was super hard to open and close.

The perfect getaway!

The condo was great, especially for the two of us. Beach was not too crowded. Walmart and target are only 12minutes away. A lot of great restaurants within minutes. Internet was out and the host worked quickly to get problem resolved. It would be great if they had a bigger bed in the master bedroom, but is definitely one of our favorites.

Great location, shabby unit

The location is great, direct access to the beach. Easy driving to aviation museum and Flora-Bama areas. The unit is shabby and the management company is very cheap. There was no extra rolls of toilet paper, broken toilet seat, broken clock, polyester sheets, governed a/c, no extra dish soap, warm fridge on arrival, etc. The unit is stocked with fun Fiesta ware dishes. The beach is amazing. The building is quiet. The unit is up 3 flights of stairs. We would stay in this building again, but not Unit 2B.

Nice place great location

Our family stayed here for a beautiful eein August. Nice condo, with plenty if room for families. Only downside on the condo is that it needs a little updating, but we didn't stay inside very much. So it was great for us. It's a great location, centrally located between Gulf Shores and Pensacola. Very family oriented and beautiful beaches.

Excellent place

It was a great place to stay! The only thing that I can even say was an issue were the sliding doors for the back balcony. The side of the door off of the master suite rusted and split apart when we opened it. I want to be transparent about that. The doors were difficult to slide but other than that once we moved them it was smooth sailing. Thanks for the communication and ease of renting, I’ll definitely be back!

Not pleased

The condo was not clean and there were several things broken or wrong. We were very disappointed in the condition of the condo especially how much we paid. The location of the condo was great but the condo itself was not.

Great unit, but I spent more time than I would like scheduling repairs.

Location: The unit is in an ideal location, right on the beach. Safety: It’s a small condo so it was nice not having a ton of people around. We felt safe and came home healthy despite the growing Covid-19 numbers. Everyone in the condo was friendly and respectful. Comfort: The unit has a beach my 80’s vibe, but it works well for the location. We loved seeing the beach from the back balcony. The walk through area under the building has swings, and an area to hose off the sand that was super convenient. Issues, the master bed was a full sized bed and not comfortable. The twin beds and couch were comfortable. We actually slept on the couch and twin beds for this reason, not ideal, and not what we paid for. We stay in a lot of VRBO and Air BnBs and this one didn’t have basic things, like a hair dryer and beach towels. We brought our own beach towels because this is disclosed, but these should be in a beach house. In general there were not enough linens, had we been at capacity in this home there would not have been enough for everyone. There was a roll of paper towels, one dish towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper and 2 dishwasher tabs for a weeks stay. This is not enough and was ridiculous. I hope this was a Covid-19 issue and will not be an ongoing problem. If so, the hair dryer could be wiped down, and the additional linens washed, so I don’t see the problem. Maintenance Problems: The master bathroom light flickered so much it gave us a headache and we didn’t use it. We reported it and it was replaced day two, but when I plugged my hair iron in it started flickering again, not as bad, but we literally didn’t want to be in the master suite at all (Because of the light and the bed), which is a huge issue. The next day the laundry room light went out and the neighbors outdoor light was now flickering. The front balcony door was so hard to open it took two of us. The furniture out front was splintering and broken, you couldn’t touch it with out pieces crumbling off. All and all this is a good unit and these things are fixable, but I felt an honest review was necessary. We would still stay here again because the location was perfect, but if some of these issues still remained we would not book a third time.

Needs maintenance, but great location

While we enjoyed our stay, there were several ways this condo should be maintained before I would rent it again: 1) sliding door that looks out towards the bay/parking lot was nearly impossible to open 2) fluorescent bulbs in the master bath and laundry were like strobe lights and there was no other light to use in that room. It would occasionally work properly, but more frequently it was flickering. 3) exposed carpet tacks- this has been mentioned in reviews of this property for years. Some laminate flooring and a few area rugs would update the space even more and alleviate this complaint completely. 4) patio furniture on the porch closest to the kitchen was rusted out and the table was cracked 5) if you plan on cooking in the condo- bring a large skillet- the only one that is there is a little 6 inch skillet. A few More pots and pans and maybe an electric griddle would make the kitchen absolutely perfect. Positives- The condo was very clean and smelled nice when we arrived.The beach was clean and I crowded. On the west side of the condo was a State park, which made for a wonderful quiet beach. The condo complex is older but everything about it was easy to use. We left our beach toys and chairs under the building near the porch swing. No one bothered our belongings and it was nice to not have to bring those items up and down each night. There is a fantastic little seafood restaurant across the street that we enjoyed getting takeout to eat on the deck while listening to the waves. The condo had plenty of towels and the couch, loveseat and chair were all very comfortable. (We noticed the Chair Leg has been mistreated and repaired). The kitchen has plenty of cups, plates, silverware, and other items needed for cooking. We loved the countertops and sink! There is even a blender for your beach drinks!

Great location

Great location and experience. We booked this the day of our stay because our condo we initially booked through someone else was under construction. We had no idea until we got there so we found this within an hour. Very easy and great transaction. We were pleasantly surprised. It’s a beautiful place to stay. We will be back.

Perfect getaway

What you see in the pictures is exactly what your getting. It is on the second floor, without an elevator. I would recommend staying here and consider a stay in the future.

The beach is wonderful

Great location. Away from high-rise crowds. Nice layout. Balcony furniture needs replacement. Carpet, as reviews from 3 years ago state, have carpet tacks still exposed and carpet condition is truly unfit for such a rental. New living room sofas nice. Kitchen, like unit overall, is have redone. Sink and granite countertops with a stove an fridge with broken parts. The amount I paid for just 5 nights would cover most of what is needed. Certainly the carpet!

We had a pleasant stay and accommodations were all that we expected! Roomy and great location. The beach wasn’t crowded at all even with the pubic beach access to the right. Parking never overflowed into our lot. Loved the beach walk under the house with the porch swing! Our family with definitely be back!

Spinnaker 2A is nice, clean, and comfortable. It has stood the test of time, for sure. After reading the reviews prior to our stay, we were prepared for the negatives, but also surprised to find updates. Yes, the carpet tacks will get you! The carpet has seen better days but isn't a game changer. The other negative element (and really, there isn't much negative about 2A) is that the curtains do not work/pull, easily. The light in the master bath flickered (which was a minor annoyance). One of the most important factors visitors should know (IMHO) is that it is a second story condo, which means it's actually on the third floor (because it's a beach house on piers). Our teenagers didn't mind but it could be a determining factor for older visitors. --- On the POSITIVE side, the pictures of this unit should be updated! It's so comfortable! The living room furniture is new(er) and more modern than featured in the photos. There are two balconies, one faces the bay and the other has an ocean view from the East side of the building. The beach is beautiful, peaceful, mostly secluded compared to other tourist-y spots on the Emerald Coast, and super simple to walk right out of the condo onto the beach, just 200ft (approx) away. By Day 2, we were completely comfortable leaving our canopy out on the beach for the night. (It stayed up/out all day, too; even when nobody in our party was out. All is all it was a great trip! We will most definitly be back!
